The largest congress hotel in Bergen, only a short walk from the terminal at Bergen airport and a 16-minute drive from Bergen city centre. I had a solo night on this hotel. I arrived by motorcycle. I was able to park the motorcycle free of charge right outside the main entrance, even under cover from rain. The hotel if fashionable, modern and has a high standard. Excellent Cleanliness. I got a room with a balcony as well. Nice, but the view from the balcony was not very beautiful. The beds are very comfortable, and I slept very good. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the airport. Breakfast is therefore served from 4 am, such that you can have a breakfast no matter how early you flight leaves. And the breakfast is very good, just as you expect at a Scandic Hotel. I would like to recommend this hotel if you need a flight in the morning. Even if you want to party downtown in Bergen, you can take the tram to the airport and walk to the hotel.

The hotel is location 5 minutes walk from the airport so it is the perfect place for a stay if you're catching an early morning flight. The rooms are nice but due to Covid 19 (?) lacks a filled minibar and coffee and tea in the room so you have to get everything from the reception. Our stay was destroyed by a very rude receptionist who clearly demonstrated that we were not so important to her as another large family checking in at the same time. Although we were first in the queue she rudely asked us to go over and fill in registration for Covid 19 whereas the other family behind us were not told the same but started the check in and was asked to fill in the Covid 19 registration as part of their check in. Being a Hotel Loyalty member obviously had no effect. Except for this situation the other staff in the hotel bar and restaurant had all a perfect service attitude. Breakfast in the hotel lasts from 4 to 10 in the morning and is very varied and should satisfy most guests, both when it comes to cold and hot dishes. As to the room, the pillows could be not so firm and the soap and shampoo-dispensers in the bathroom are bad quality and should be replaced.

The hotel is within walking distance from the airport, which is an advantage. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast offers a wide variety of food. The bar is also very good.
It would have been nice if the minifridge in the room was powered on to keep your beverages cold. Lucky for my I had a balcony and the temperatures in Norway this time of year are good enough to just put your drinks out on the balcony to keep them cold.

I stayed two nights in a hotel in Bergen proper and it was terrible - slow internet, no temperature control or work area, 199 NOK for breakfast, etc. This hotel is right next to the airport where there is a light rail stop so is perfect for an early morning flight or you can easily take the train to the city (30 minutes/40 NOK) for sightseeing. The rooms were very nice, amazing internet, wonderful staff, and free breakfast starting at 4am!

Where to start? Maybe in the front desk where it seems like you care about every question? No smiles to track, the summer wickers(?) are more concerned with the mobile. The TVs do not work in several of the rooms we have booked, the glasses in the bathroom have remnants of the previous guest’s toothpaste, air conditioning can only be adjusted down to 19 degrees, but it will nevertheless be colder than 23 during the night. Small, bulky head pillows in the room, and only one small one for each. Do not empty the trash or res bed during the day either.
And when you're hungry, ordering a takeaway pizza over the phone and then going down and paying / picking up when it's ready is impossible. - Why? "To keep track of orders" apparently. I understand you've been told about it by someone who's been working there for a while, but at least find a better excuse for why. There were less than 10 guests in the whole restaurant, the chefs stood with their hands in their pockets and had no orders. No check-ins ongoing either. Zero service setting, zero understanding that you want to save yourself for an extra trip down the front desk after a long day.
I have worked at hotels for many years myself, both front desk, bar, breakfast etc, and usually always have compassion with the “on the floor”. Hotel is modern and stylish, ample space in breakfast area, friendly reception staff. Conveniently located to the airport, but almost an hour on public transport to the city center. Good for a comfy sleep.
However, we found blood stains and filth in the bathroom. Complained after first night and received apology and vouchers, but the bathroom did not get any cleaner. After second night we complained again, received another compensation and had reception staff remove blood stains. They obviously have trouble controlling their housekeeping staff.
After checkout we had dinner in the hotel restaurant, I received an uncooked pizza calzone (was replaced when noticed), the waiter tried to upcharge me with the wine and then lied flat into my face about Scandic having changed their house wine. The horrors were many. Here just selected highlights.
We arrived at the hotel at six o'clock after a diverted/can led flight. We had to wait 30 minutes to check in as they were busy, apparently... When we went to eat at 9 o'clock were told that we had to wait an additional 40 minutes for our meal paid by the airline as they were under staffed so couldn't serve us. (So 3.5 hours from when we arrived) we opted to order from the a'la cart which meant a self funded portion of about 600nok for pizza and wine. That food arrived in about five minutes. All of the staff just seemed really disinterested.

Hi Patricia. Yes it`s true! Breakfast starts everyday from 4pm. You can book the shuttlebus at reception, it`s free and goes 24/7 every half hour. If you will be arriving also with plane the bus goes from platform C10 at Flesland and down to the hotel, it`s just 500m so`it`s also possible to walk. We looking forward to welcome you as our guest.
