Detailed Reviews
When arriving by public transport (Bybanen) the hotel is hard to find. The sidewalks are uphill and not in the best condition. You finally see the sign but all you see is the store with a semi underground parking. The entrance is from the back of building and better signage could be used to indicate this.
The lobby of the hotel in not inviting. There is nothing there except reception, and the potential is there for a bar or foyer. Restaurant with breakfast and dinner is on the 5th floor. Not like in a typical hotel.
The whole decor of the hotel is fancy/artsy including carpets and hard to decipher room numbers.
The inside of the rooms is also designed is some modern artistic way, but not very functional to serve the intended purpose. There is no sufficient lighting and the funky switches either don't work or you need a special training to operate them. The heating could not be controlled and the room was very hot. Opening window was a bit of help, but it could not be fully open. There was only one electrical receptacle in the room to charge phones.
The sink in the bathroom was extremely small, shower barely large enough leaked water on the floor every time.
The only good thing here was the comfortable bed and sufficient breakfast included in the price.
The location was Ok. About 20-30 min walk to the city, and one could always use Bybanen from Danmarksplass station if needed.
Later on we discovered that you can borrow electric kettle from the reception, but this information is nowhere to be found.
I would suggest looking elsewhere for accommodation in Bergen.

Very cool modern design hotel nearby Danmarksplass in Bergen.
Comfy beds. Very nice view of Bergen and the surrounding mountains.
OK breakfast - nothing too fancy.
Staff was nice.
There was a discounted price for car park in the parking garage on the backside of the hotel building, but the discount couldn't be much for the price was sobering. No other parking opportunities nearby.

You get what you pay for: that expression certainly fits staying in this hotel. Price was reasonable (as far as hotel prices in Bergen can be called that) but the hotel itself leaves much to be desired.
First, let us take the good things; The room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom as well. Wifi worked well and breakfast was acceptable. Reception staff friendly and accommodating.
The negatives were a few; The rooms lacked storage space with only one small place to hang your clothes, no drawers, no hooks in the bathroom, no water boiler or coffeemaker but a useful working desk. These are things you come to expect, even in basic hotels.
The hotel offers no parking but has some reserved places in a packinghouse next door at Nok 180/night.
Taste is of course not an objective criteria but the very special choice of wall patterns, floors, corridors and reception area did not meet our approval. Odd is an expression that comes to mind.
In spite of these negatives, we recommend the hotel if you look for a reasonable stay in Bergen.
One small, maybe controversial, remark; the reception staff could hardly speak in Norwegian. English flawless but shouldn´t staff in a Norwegian hotel speak the language?

First got a room where it was incredibly hot. Complained, and this was obviously something they were aware of, so got a new room. Why they give out this room to customers when they are aware of it is too bad. The breakfast was very poor and the restaurant closed early in the evening. The staff were also unwelcoming and apart from reception I didn't get so much as a hello.

One of the worst things I've ever stayed! Closed rooms, room on the back with some traffic noise. Breakfast we stood over when it was completely impossible to get a seat and the queue in front of us was low. Cleaning can be much better - easy to remove stains on mirrors in the hallway

As already criticized in other reviews - the breakfast is greatly in need of improvement. Although I don't know how to do it. The space is just way too small. At a room rate of around 200 euros per night you just expect more.
The first day there were no available seats. People wandered around with their full plates. Some had breakfast standing at the bar.
Of course, you can also criticize some guests who still have to do something on their phones long after the last sip of coffee is finished.
The buffet as such is also much too small. It was just chaos and hectic and discontent everywhere. This had nothing to do with cosy breakfast on holiday.

Our 3 day stay here was most enjoyable. When we booked the stay initially it was a case of taking what hotels were available as the Bruce Springsteen concert seemed to have decreased availability and increased prices.
Saying that we had a perfectly serviceable room and bathroom, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast in the morning while not having a huge variety was perfectly fine with hot and cold options. Special shout out to the pillows which were like sleeping on clouds.
The only negatives were the black out blinds were pretty ineffective and with sunrise not long after 4am it wasn't great and the hotel was a little out of the city centre but once we got the tram system sorted out it wasn't an issue with just a 5 minute walk to Danmarks Plass tram stop.
Overall a good stay and we recommend staying there.

One of the worst hotels I have ever been to. Poor service from the staff, cramped rooms, poor food and a completely tragic breakfast. We ended up having to buy breakfast elsewhere both days we were there, that's not how staying in a hotel should be. Steer away!

Hotels near the city centre. Easily accessible by tram. The centre can also be reached by tram. Small and clean rooms. Good breakfast on the top floor of the hotel. Special design recommended for young people.
Hotel near the city center. Easily to find from the airport by tram. The same tram it's for the city center. Small and clean room. Good breakfast on the top of the hotel. Interesting design suggest to the young people.

What a dramatic hotel. Much dated just like the music. You wonder when the funeral starts. The beds have also died. You can feel the spirals in your back. You can barely move in the shower. Breakfast is going. Nothing special but fine. Unfortunately, the bar is also closed after 10 pm. And since there's not much around you can't have a drink in the evening. In the hallways you have the feeling of having used drugs with a psychedelic experience. No, never for us again. Only plus is the friendly Indian woman at the reception.
