Room was OK, but not easy to set temperature. The AC has four levels, off, Noisy, Storm and Hurricane.

Hotel staff at reception is very nice and welcoming. And the common areas are also very good.

Location is a bit off, but Vienna being one of the best places for public transportation in Europe, you’ll be where you need to go within few minutes.

If you have the right loyalty level, there’s a nice lounge, but it’s in another building across from main entrance. They have a variety of snack in the evening, some hot dishes, soup, sandwhiches, and they serve wine and Zipffer on tap until 22:00(or something like that).
Thank Thogers

Dear Thogers, thank you very much for your review of our hotel on TripAdvisor. I am not very sure why you rated us a '3' when all the aspects of your stay seemed to have been positive but I nonetheless hope that you will return to our hotel in the future. Our location is a matter of opinion - we are very close to the Belvedere as well as to the Hundertwasserhaus, two main attractions in Vienna and the Opera is a mere 20 minutes away by foot. I do hope that we will have an opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel soon again and I remain with kind regards, Yours sincerely, J. Thomas C. van Opstal General Manager

Wifi supposed to be included, but wasnt so had to go back to desk to get it added on. Paid bar bill of 16 euro with a 20 note, and just got the receipt and no change. Had dinner for two: one of us left half of it because it was far too salty to eat, and the other meal was nothing like what we expected.
Thank 1mat

Dear 1mat, thank you very much for your review of our hotel on TripAdvisor. I am sorry that you did not completely enjoy your stay with us and I would like to apologize for the untoward experience you had. Please let me clarify that WiFi is free-of-cost for members of our Marriott Rewards program, and of course, membership is also free-of-cost and therefore you can use our WiFi throughout the hotel on a complimentary basis if you are a member. I would appreciate it if you were to let me know more details of the experience you had at our bar bill - do you recall the date of your visit and the time in order for me to follow up. Also, I would appreciate it if you could give me more details about the meal you have had. I am not sure whether you mentioned your dislike to the service personnel who would have offered you a change of meal. Again, I am sorry for the disappointing experience and do hope to hear from you with more details. Yours sincerely, J. Thomas C. van Opstal General Manager

We stayed here for 6 nights at the end of October for a conference my husband attended. Because we were travelling with my 80 year old aunt and it was her birthday, I contacted the hotel in advance and let them know about this special occasion.

The hotel staff did not disappoint! Melanie, who responded to my emails and ultimately checked us in upon arrival, went out of her way to make sure we had great rooms and a birthday treat waiting for my aunt. She was so excited and loved her special Sacher torte.

Our rooms (we had two and Melanie arranged for them to be next door to each other) were in the newer Concierge building. They were both spacious and beautifully decorated. My only comment about the room-and please note if you are a light sleeper-is that the rooms overlook the courtyard between the two buildings. The main building is where check-in occurs and houses the pool/spa, restaurants, and meeting rooms as well as guest rooms.

The courtyard sees a lot of activity as it is where taxis and large tour busses pull in. The buildings also amplify peoples' voices. The bottom line here is it can get quite loud. We wanted to sleep with the windows open, but because of the various noises and sounds, we could not. And I had ear plugs in! This is not the fault of the hotel in my opinion, and it did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the room. Just mentioning it so that others can be aware.

Now for the best part of the room-the shower! The shower was simply amazing and a true guilty pleasure as I stood under the lovely, just-hot-enough water pouring down from one of the two shower heads for way longer than I should have.

Because we were in the Concierge building, we had access to the lounge, which was a great benefit. The nightly nibbles served as dinner a couple of nights when we weren't participating in the conference events. The food was good with several choices. Breakfast was also good until we saw the offerings across the way in the main restaurant, where we could also eat if we chose to. There were more options over there, but you sacrificed intimacy and quiet. The restaurant was very busy until the conference attendees left.

I walked into the center of the city from the hotel. It took me about 30 minutes to get to Karntnerstrasse-the pedestrian street leading up to St. Stephens Cathedral. Othertimes, we took a taxi or the subway. The subway is easy to use and the stop closest to the hotel-Renweg-is only a 5 minute walk.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again, especially given the care we received from the staff. They helped make this stay a very special experience.

We had a great stay here, it’s a good business hotel with an excellent business lounge and added benefits. Rooms are good too, we stayed in on old part of the hotel. The newer ones are super lux, well worth the upgrade if ya can get one. Gym and pool were pretty rubbish though, avoid!

It took a long time to check in and I had to pay for wifi, which was not very reliable. However, the room and the staff were nice and the gym/pool was ok. There are also a few good places to eat near by.

Reda, Subway is about 5-10 minutes walk. Tram is very convenient, there's a stop at the end of the street on which your hotel is situated. A walk of some 150m to the hotel. Sorry can't remember the subway line. A quick email... More
