Second time at this hotel. It’s in a fabulous position along the coastal walkway about 15-20 minutes from the centre. This time we had a two bedroom appartment for us and our 17 year old son. It had two bathrooms and a fabulous view of the sunset. Beds were comfy, showers were good. Furniture a little tired and although entry was by card there wasn’t a socket to put card in to turn on/off electricity. Pool was being renovated whilst we were there but no one told us about it and it was noisy whilst trying to sit on sun lounger. Breakfast was varied with an excellent omelette station although on the first morning when we got there at 10:15 we were told that there were no more oranges for the juice machine. When I pointed out that breakfast went on until 10:30 the girl reluctantly went and got some more. My son enjoyed the gym equipment- I did go once but found it sparse and unwelcoming. There is an indoor pool which we used on a previous occasion but it was dark and freezing. We did swim in the sea though. For what we paid in February for 2 bedrooms it was value for money. Wouldn’t bother with the half board, lots of good restaurants around.

Very nice sea front modern hotel with fantastic sea views. Modern rooms with mini fridge and tea and coffee facilities, nice comfy beds and pillows. Good size bathroom with plenty of hot water with a good pressure. The balcony is big which is furnished well. A 10 to 15 min walk into Paphos harbour along a pleasant waterside walkway, also a small collection of bars, restaurants and supermarkets directly opposite hotel on the road side of the premises. Breakfast was very good with a good selection to suite most people. Overall a very nice hotel in a great location.

We have just returned for a great mini break at the Amphora. Rooms are clean and comfortable, thankfully the room was available before the allotted check in time which was nice following an early flight. A nice sea view and very good to watch the sunset each evening. The breakfast is self served, a good variety and gluten free bread is available on request. A great location with the centre of Paphos a 15 (ish) minute walk.

This was an off-season 3-day break so the room rate was great and we had hired a car to get us around. The location is superb .. 100m walk to a lovely small sandy beach for an early morning swim, or 15 min walk along the lovely promenade takes you into Paphos. Sure, not all restaurants and bars are open because it is off-season but there's enough choice. We were B&B meaning we had to visit local restaurants (check out the really authentic Lichnari Traditional Charcoal Grill Taverna about 5 minutes walk away). Breakfast was great, lots of choice and if you're lucky you can grab an outside table in the warming sun. Views from the room were superb and while it has an open feel with no walls or gates to keep strollers and passers-by from wandering in and around, that wasn't an issue in low season. Some others have commented about the staff but we found them to be great very helpful, lots of friendly smiles, from the cleaning staff to receptionists to restaurant to the handyman who fixed our jammed door. Would we go back ? Yep, if we were re-visiitng Paphos then yes, without a doubt.

We booked a week at the Amphora hotel & it was very well organised and very clean. Here are our pros and cons, we stayed as a young couple (we are 25 & 31) Pros: - our room was immaculately clean, which was a big tick from the very first day. It made us feel like we were ready to have a good week in Cyprus with the room being lovely. - Check out was an easy process, literally took 5 minutes. We were checked out by a very smiley lady with dark hair. - We booked on half board, which for us was more than we needed, (our first time to Cyprus and we didn’t realise how close everything was so we ate out most nights and didn’t use the breakfast apart from one day) however, the food was always very tasty with a good selection and hygienic. - The views from the rooms are great, the sunsets/sunrises we saw each day were incredible from the balcony and window from bed. - The location is great. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk along the seafront to Pafos town where there’s a good selection of shops & restaurants. - There are loads of stray cats (which we bought a lot of food for), so this was a hit with us because we are animal lovers! They are really friendly so if you do come across one give them lots of love and strokes! - We learnt very quickly in Cyprus we needed a car. The car park was easy to use. Cons: - The staff were a little bit unfriendly at times, especially at the front desk, we asked one time about the parking out the front as we were hiring a car and wanted to verify how to use the barriers correctly to avoid issues, the blonde lady sort of scoffed at my partner as if to say how do you not know how to use a car park, and wasn’t very helpful in all honesty. - The blonde staff member at the front desk when we arrived made us leave our luggage unattended in the lobby and go straight up to dinner which to be honest we didn’t really want to do as we had just got off our flight about an hour or so prior, we were both not dressed for dinner and in tracksuits that we’d been sat in all day on the flight and we would’ve preferred to go to the room first and freshen up but still we obliged and went to dinner. We saw her walk into the restaurant shortly after we were seated and got her own dinner, so it was apparent to us she was palming us off so she could go and eat, which didn’t give us a good vibe of the hotel on the first night. - One major concern about this hotel is about how open it is to the general public. I was getting changed one morning with the net curtains drawn and an old man was stood on the steps near our block and was staring at me in my underwear. If you have young girls please be careful with this, I felt extremely violated when I saw this man staring at me in my underwear. - We were woken nearly every day at 10:30am for room cleaning but we always put do not disturb on the door, so this was a bit annoying as we wanted to relax in the mornings. - Beds were made every time you required room cleaning, however we noticed the sheets were not changed or cleaned during the entire stay, which was a bit disappointing. - Tea & Coffee was not replenished from the first day so we had to fork out at the local shop, which was a bit pants for a 4 star hotel with not having something so basic like tea & coffee for more than one day of your stay - A lot of the dinners at the restaurant were very samey. We ate them all and had no complaints but it did feel like we were eating the same thing every night. The meat was also tasty but quite fatty, my partner got heartburn from one meal there was so much fat on the meat. Overall we enjoyed our stay but that was more to do with Cyprus as a whole not the hotel really. I wouldn’t really say it’s a 4 star with the amount of things that needed reviewing.

Do not book this hotel! If something happens, it will be your fault!!! And the management will shout at you!!! Less then 1☆ worthed! Here is my story...I got very ill (high fever + pneumonia) before traveling to Cyprus, so I have called them few times to inform them (not to wait for me at the airport) and ask what to do in order to get my deposit back. The reception lady said I should talk to the Reservation Manager, but that he is not working in the weekends. Monday morning I called, but they told me he is at the office at 10h. I could not reach him, and since I was sick and tired, I decided to write an e-mail. And then I saw my deposit on my creditcard not anymore, so I thought it is solved! Booking.com asked me if I have payed anything, my answer was no! Next day I saw the deposit again on my creditcard. Strange, I thought! After many attempts to reach the Reservation Manager, I have finally succeeded to talk to him on Wednesday afternoon. I was kind and polite trying to explain what has happened and that someone canceled my room, living me with no opportunity to rechedule it for other time of the year. He was shouting at me!!! Telling me that this is not his problem and that if I was so concerned why I am calling him on Wednesday (so many days have past!). After I had enough of his shouting, I politly asked him if there is any solution that can be arranged, for example a voucher for a potential next visit. The answer was OF COURSE NOT! I am so disappointed from this kind of behavior that can damage even a 'good reputation' of a 'good hotel'. Mister Reservation Manager, I am very sorry you couldn't think of any solution. With this action, you have lost many potential Dutch and International customers. With kind regards, Maja Beex

Be careful. They say they will allow you to change dates on booking but it’s not true as posted by another person below. I’ve stayed her twice before but even being a previous client staff were not interested. Shame really as the experience in the past has been ok value for money. Definitely need to improve customer service.

We had a fantastic stay at the Amphora Suites on our first visit to Paphos. I have mobility issues and had asked for an accessible room so was allocated one on the ground floor but, there's an elevator in every block. Rooms are separate from the reception block and the site has been thoughtfully designed so that all have a sea view and are contemporary furnished. The rooms and grounds were spotlessly clean. All the staff from cleaners to reception management were so friendly and helpful and nothing was a bother. Part of my assessment of a hotel stay is the quality of the shower and I wasn't disappointed. Always hot and good power. Breakfast was really well stocked with both hot and cold choices and omelette to order. I used the sauna cabin which was a bit tricky to operate as it's not permanently on, but I figured it out. Being off season, the pool bar was closed but the main bar had a good selection of drinks, reasonably priced. The hotel runs a free airport transfer. I think it's the quickest I've ever disembarked from a plane and got to my hotel as the driver was waiting for us. Only point I'd highlight is that it's a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of town. Not a problem for able bodied people but something to bear in mind if you have mobility issues. That being said, it means it's quiet. There are bars and restaurants close by but most were closed due to it being off season. I'd recommend this hotel and would definitely visit again.
