The hotel is well situated close to the lively Paphos nightlife and within walking distance of the harbour.
We arrived very late but the owner was charming and friendly.
Our room was comfortable (although we were at the front of the building which meant Sunday church bells at 6am).
Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of dishes in a lovely courtyard setting.

Seven of us went looking for a meal at 9pm and found most restaurants closing. This came as a surprise since in Spain most are just getting busy. Anyway we found this restaurant/hotel and they took us in. Quite an experience. Food was adequate not excellent. Service was a bit Faulty Towers. We had a good time and enjoyed the quirky setting and unusual presentation. Might be worth another visit to double check first experience.

Good location and a very traditional Hotel. Our room was very small but looked out onto the enclosed garden which made up for it slightly. With it being the winter season, most of the rooms were being re-decorated which did not impact on our stay.A little concerned by exposed wiring in the bath room and the Towels which should have been replaced in 2020. Breakfast was average but we did have a nice evening meal one night.

I chose Kininas because of the wonderful reviews about George, his family and their traditional old hotel with breakfast included. The reviews were spot on! Even at the beginning of the reopening after Covid, they served a full Cypriot breakfast and made sure I was well taken care of. The food was fantastic, the room was spacious, very clean, comfortable huge beds and a fridge, air conditioning, TV and a beautiful balcony that overlooked a main walking street with views of a beautiful old church in the old town. The location is great if you are looking to stay in the old town. A bus took me from the airport to about 200 meters from the hotel for €1.50! The bus system is complicated in Cyprus because it’s not on google maps so you don’t know when they are coming and where they are going, but all the buses you need to get anywhere are within 200 meters of the hotel. There is a wonderful traditional restaurant at the hotel where they make everything in house from local farms and oma’s recipes! as well as many other great options within walking distance. I really enjoyed getting to know George, Michael and the rest of the family who all work there in various capacities. My morning conversations over coffee about life, meaning and philosophy where a real treat! I was leaving early on a Sunday morning and George arranged transportation as well! Thank you for a lovely time in Cyprus! I will be back!

Stayed here for 3 nights, whilst the rooms are quite traditional they are lovely and clean and George the host is the very best. Breakfast is included, the usual Cypriot style with lovely fresh fruit as well. I really enjoyed the scrambled eggs, not sure if it was 2 or 3 but cooked to perfection. Staff were checking if you required anything else, more coffee, more toast etc, really good and friendly. The outside garden is very tranquil with mature trees that provide lots of shade. Due to outdated gps we travelled all round the old town before finding the hotel on a pedestrianised street so look for Kennedy sq and park somewhere close. There is the 618 bus across the road which takes you down to the port for 1.50 euro. Taxi back is 8/10 euro so recommended if you want to drink.

A gem not to be missed!
So glad we chose to stay here whilst on business overnight. A quirky historic Venetian building that has been in the same family generations hands since 1920 is a gem.
Our room had everything you could expect and the hotel is so interesting and fascinating.
Absolutely impressed with the meal we had here. Our host Mr George said he was cooking lamb so we left ourselves in his hands and he did not let us down.
We wandered off and found some great bars in the area for a sundowner. Returning later we ate in the atmospheric garden courtyard which was so peaceful and tranquil.
The Kelftico came out with couscous and cooked beans plus a fab salad, chips, dips and pitta and was gorgeous and at an excellent value for money. I hear the Moussaka is great too!
Full but tempted we had the plate of sweets and the baclava was the best ever!
Our lovely waitress Sandy provided an excellent service and we took a glass of wine to our balcony to enjoy the atmosphere of the old town and the live music floating up the pedestrian area.
We will be back.
Have experienced the old town for breakfast and the market but after 8 it becomes a cosmopolitan area full of bars offering cocktails and live music or disco giving bar street a fight for their money!

I was looking forward to this experience but was very disappointed.

This is an old hotel at the heart of Paphos, with a traditional feel and design. That makes for a good starting point for a good experience, but reality is different.

Rooms are extremely poorly furnished, and whatever renovations were done in a poor manner that basically left rooms with holes and plaster and external piping.

The first room we were offered was suffocating small. It has a staircase to the roof, and when we opened that door a lizard ran out!

We immediately asked for a different room, and they offered us another which was just as small as we refused it, so were offered a room with triple beds at an extra charge of 30 euros/night which was acceptable with a street view.

Lighting is dim across the hotel, really dim!
You cannot control the AC in the room, it’s on off only which is useless.

Most rooms have 20” TVs, the one we got had a new big screen TV, which only had 8 channels most of which are in Greek!

There’s no elevator, and it’s only one flight of stairs, but there’s no one to help you with the luggage.

There was no one at the reception when we got there. We had to look for one to check us in. There doesn’t seem to be any sufficient staffing. And this lack of staff and service people continues to all areas.

There’s no water bottles in the room, but there’s a water cooler in the corridor where you can fill up.

Breakfast is something you can do without here. It’s repetitive and lacking, and mostly cold. If anything runs out, there’s no one to replenish it. We had to look for one of the staff to get us bread and they brought it cold from the fridge (not fresh and stale).

Bedding is cheap, shampoo is bad.

Only thing good about the hotel is location. It’s a shame as it has the potential to offer a seriously different experience.

Response from George Gregoriou, Owner at Kiniras Hotel

We assure you that we WELCOME any review and we take notes and action FOR OUR BETTER in order to improve our better aiming to BEST. My family (four generations) operated a Traditional hotel in a listed house (14th century, Venetians style) in the center of the city (shopping area) of Pafos. We are in a walk distance from the center bus station. On all sites we have Public parking guarantee availability on 24:00 hours a day. Is our choice to operate the family hotel on its originality as we can't change anything regarding adjustments and moderations of the establishment however we don't have a lift. Our rooms are rather small compare to modern hotels on the sea front but our smallest size is 16 sq. meters on a city hotel built ages ago, Our bathrooms are newly renovated and furnished by GROHE and all rooms are having fridge, safe box, hairdryer, radio, telephone, smart tv with membership to NOVA and CYTAVISION and capable to WIFI. We are aiming to have a convenience hotel, functionable very clean with the necessary facilities. this is why our heating is fixed operation able ON and OFF on 26 C. Is our choice to have three chambermaids and a housekeeper for 18 rooms all day service than five persons at the reception doing nothing. We serve traditional buffet on breakfast with rich variety of juices, omelettes, home made bread and snacks, fresh fruits, home made marmalades and yoghurt as well as cereals and s selection of coffee and teas. Apart to that, a la cart breakfast menu is available free of charge. Unfortunately we didn't hear from you during your stay to give us the chance to help you due to the event that our family lives in the hotel in order to establish a personal contact with you. Bedding cheap or expensive to us make no sense as we are interested to provide comfortable with variety! Always at your disposal, With thanks and regards, Phivos / Operations manager

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during a recent trip to Paphos. After reading a few of the negative reviews, I was admittedly nervous, but my fears were unfounded. The hotel, while older, made for a wonderful stay in Old Town Paphos. My room was clean and comfortable, the staff was very accommodating, and George helped me figure out the bus system, which saved me from spending too many euros on taxis! Given that I didn't have a car, I appreciated that the bus stop was a 5-minute walk from the hotel; from there, it was easy and quick to get a bus to the Paphos Harbor. The area around the hotel included a lot of restaurants, coffeehouses and shops as well. My only regret was that the weather was too chilly for the inner courtyard to be open, although the restaurant was a cozy location for breakfast and dinner.

I have just returned from a week’s holiday staying at this hotel and it was a great experience.
The hotel is small and some may say a little quirky but it was just what we wanted.
The owner, George, was a genial host, informative, attentive and very helpful.
The hotel is clean and well maintained and on every wall there are colourful paintings which cheer you up wherever you look.
The buffet breakfast, which is served in a wonderful courtyard, was very good and varied and set us up each day.
The location is first class, it is on a pedestrianised street two minutes walk from the main town square, Kennedy Square, and five minutes walk from the Municipal Market.
Bus stops for buses to the harbour and the main archeological sites are very nearby and the buses are regular.
All in all the hotel location and George the owner made it a special holiday for my wife and me.
