Just arrived back from a week at this hotel. I read the reviews before going and was a little apprehensive as the negative reviews stuck in my mind. However there really was nothing to worry about, the hotel was fantastic, great location, friendly staff, great food etc. it was a nice touch the hotel putting sandwiches and water in our fridge for when we arrived as we arrived late and had missed dinner. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms with a sea view which was lovely and plenty of space for the 2 of us, plugs had USB sockets next to the bed and a soft close toilet seat which were really nice touches. The hotel is disabled friendly with ramps and lifts. We met so many lovely people who have been going to the hotel for years, it was like one big family which was so lovely. Pino deserves the biggest shout out, his energy and entertainment really brought us all together and even got my friend playing games she wouldn’t usually have got involved in. We spent the majority of our time round the new pool which was great. Yes only 1 bar was open but it’s only a very short walk (30 seconds) and in my eyes isn’t an issue at all. The hotel was extremely clean and the location was fantastic. For anyone put off by negative reviews or the price in comparison to other hotels on offer please don’t be, you won’t regret it!!! The only piece of feedback I could give is I found it unusual that bottled water wasn’t an option for all inclusive, this wasn’t an issue with there being a few shops within walking distance (incl in the hotel) where we brought water for €1 but would be the only thing I could critique the whole trip. If you want a nice sandy beach take the bus €1.50 per trip to Coral Bay. You can hire 2 sun beds and a parasol for €7.50 for the day which is great value for money and they have a bar with food too. We also did the TUI 5 hour quad bike tour which I would also recommend and fantastic value for money, we saw things we didn’t know was there nor would have experienced if we hadn’t done it.

Damon hotel is a smallish hotel compared to some of the large complexes in Phaphos, But it has all the amenities needed ,forca 3 star hotel the location is superb on a main rd were you can wonder out , with bars and restaurants all along , and at the end of road to the left is a shopping mall with the shop jumbo in which had everything in , especially essentials for your hols from hats to fans to creams to hygiene essentials, which is really useful as i now buy all mine from there when i get there so its less weight in my case . to the right of the main rd is a lidl if you are self catering it is a bit of a walk but you can catch bus opposite side of road of hotel for 1,50 euro . this bus also takes you to the beautiful coral bay . the bus on same side of hotel takes you to the harbour for same price . or you can get a 5euro all day pass for the buses .
For walkers there us coastal path just slightly to the left of hotel on main rd that takes you to the beach bout 5min from hotel , which you could walk to either the harbour or coral bay and is beautiful but hot ,The hotel has a sister hotel keflos village which is right on the front of the coastal path which you can visit and use their amenities also .
The damon hotel its self is a little gem , the staff are friendly and helpful nothing is to much for them to do for you , the food in the main restaurant is lovely and plenty to choose from , some days it not everyones taste as they try to cater for all nationalities, but you will find something you like even if it is at snack times . there are 3 pools in which 2 have pool bars with lots to choose from if all inclusive any thing is included except inported spirts , but they do include carlsberg larger . there is icecream in a fridge all day for you to help yourself .
The rooms we always have had a 1 bed apartment are spacious with everything you need in especially if self catering. they are cleaned mostly everyday with fresh towels in , the odd day they not if you spot a maid and ask she ll swap your towels . my parents was in a premier suit as they have a roll in showers and cater for disabilities, at a cost of little extra , my parents loved it it was beautiful room and all the rooms are spotlessly clean . The entertainment team do a fantastic job especially Pino whom works from 11 in morning till gone 11 in evenings with only 1 day a week off, he gets all the family involved in the activities and goes out his way too make sure your enjoying yourself.
in the evenings the entertainment is all round the main pool area , and quieten downs at 11,30 , but at night time its self its really quiet our apartment was on main rd side next to a lift , but i never heard a thing during the night and slept better than i do at home .
I have met some lovely friendly people each time i have stayed here mainly British but have never seen or heard any trouble from anyone in all the times i have been and will be returning next year with more of my family as i love the atmosphere here at the hotel and all the staff are amazing and friendly and very welcoming . Cant wait to return.

Just returned from a brilliant week here. We arrived late at night and were provided with a sandwich and water in our room which was a nice touch. Our room was spot on, pool view balcony as requested and very spacious for 2 of us. There wasn’t a massive choice of food at mealtimes like you sometimes get at an AI hotel but this wasn’t a bad thing as the food was lovely, we could always find something we liked and then they’re were snacks available during the day too. The new pool was perfect, sun all day and could always get a sun bed, no matter the time of day, so we spent most days here, although I’m conscious it might be busier during the main summer months. We also headed out to the beach at the sister hotel which was also lovely.
The hotel was in a perfect location with bars and restaurants right on the street, can highly recommend the Pitstop and O’Neills Irish bar for cocktails! The hotel was also on the 615 bus route which takes you to the harbour or all the way to Coral Bay and was only €1.50 or €2.50 after 9pm, it was a godsend for us. If you want to try one of the trips, I’d highly recommend the Ocean Vision boat trip, it was amazing! All inclusive food and drinks and a fab party atmosphere.
The entertainment at the hotel was fantastic and this is all down to the brilliant Pino. Enough to do during the day to keep you occupied but nothing too pushy if you didn’t want to join in and then bingo, shows and hilarious games on an evening! Pino had everyone in stitches and really made our holiday, he’s one in a million and I still cannot fathom out how he remembers everyone’s names!
I can certainly see why people come back to this hotel again and again, a little hidden gem!

We found the first room very noisy as it was directly over the speaker, so much so that we paid extra to stay in a quieter superior room but even then we could hear the entertainment at night.

The rooms are a good size and very well equipped although the TVs in the room are not currently working, not something we were bothered about though. Internet connection was excellent.

There are three pools, all nice although one is always in the shade. We spent most of time at the newest pool as it was quieter, but a shame the jacuzzi doesn't work.

The entertainment is just quizes and bingo, not our cup of tea but seemed to be popular with the retired, Brits abroad clientele. We found the entertainment went on to late and was too noisy as were some of the guests, often up drinking until 2-3am so not really very family friendly.

The restaurant Mamma Mia is good and restaurant staff generally friendly. Breakfast, lunch and dinner choices were generally all tasty and fresh.

Staff at the bar and reception were very grumpy, and often made you feel like you were an inconvenience.

Divine peaks restaurant is in a beautiful rooftop location, but I found the food overpriced and just ok. The cost for guests is also confusing and needs to be clearer.

The location of the hotel isn't exactly the prettiest of locations but is very convenient for walking to all the main archeological sites in Paphos ,harbour and old town all of which are within 30 minutes walk. Also bus stop very nearby and a bus to coral bay every 10 minutes, much more picturesque there.

The nearest beach, lighthouse is not very good, the best beach nearby in my opinion is Venus beach near to Tomb of the king's which is about 20 minutes walk.

I think this hotel is more for those seeking a lively holiday, and probably better for over 60s. If we would return to the area we would stay in Coral Bay as it's much prettier and a quieter resort in general.

Our second visit to Paphos, the first being 3years ago but our first visit to the Kefalos Damon. After arriving late at 1am we were greeted with a bottle of water some sandwiches and then a surprise of a bottle of red wine and a bowl of fresh fruit in our room of which was of a good size and had all the amenities you could want for a b&b holiday, the maid service being excellent with it actually being checked and towels changed twice some days.Breakfast was a self serving choice and there was always plenty of choice for all tastes, as for mealtime we didn’t know as went out every evening to eat.., but other holiday makers told us it was good.As for the rest of the hotel well having three pools is a bonus with daily activities going on as a join in option, the areas were always clean and tidy around the pools and all the staff were friendly and helpful, the location was great as there are bars and restaurants all within 2 minutes from the hotel..and a 30 minute walk to the harbour and town area was not a problem, I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples especially and look forward to another visit to it in the future.

Quick check in by a very unsmiling lady who gave me two packs of takeaway containers and a 2 ltr bottle of water . We were quickly led by the outside pool and bar towards ( cell block H as we called it ) I was struggling to say the least with two cases and my handbag plus what I’d been given . At the bottom of some steps after passing a smaller pool we were told where to go and that was it we were left .
The room
Very clean and pleasant, plenty of drawers etc for our clothes , table and chairs , tv , settee and coffee table and of cause the bed .
Bathroom
Very nice , but not enough room for our toiletries and only soap on all inclusive .
Our accommodation was a one bedroom studio and we paid extra for a pool view and got three , two being part views and we also had two balconies but used only one .
Towels changed daily , bins emptied , we were very tidy in our room and always pulled duvet over too which I think confused the staff so bedding wasn’t made for us on a few occasions.
Meals
Breakfast /the usual .
Lunch /plenty of choice
Evening meal
Varied and plenty of choice
Carvery meats so tender .
Pools
Warm and clean
Entertainment
Not for us
Location ok for shops bars and interesting sites.
Beach and sea rocky but pleasant area for sunbathing at the sister hotel

Overall we had a pleasant stay , met some lovely people both staff and guests .
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the hard working staff and also a thank you to the management for the wine fruit and balloons placed in our room for a birthday gift .

Stayed at the Damon many times before and it’s like one big family. I was looking forward to seeing the recent renovation works too.
Of which did not disappoint! The new pool is beautiful, around it are many sunbeds and plenty of space for October. I worry that in the height of the summer it will be crowded but we will see. The new pool bar was closed but it’s to reopen when the hotel is busier. It seems the Wifi has also been upgraded which now works in all areas of the hotel and the pool areas which is brilliant!

Food as usual couldn’t be faulted. One minor thing was there were no chips at lunchtime, me being British love chips on occasion! Mentioned this to Giannis (restaurant manager) and chips were ready and waiting the following lunchtime!

Room was plenty big enough for 4 adults, always clean and bedding and towels replaced regularly.

Entertainment was spot on as usual thanks to Pino. I played the darts and water volleyball - albeit the pool was freezing! The evening entertainment was also brilliant. One of the main reasons we continue to visit this hotel. I do worry that in the summer the area in which hosts the entertainment is not going to be big enough to fit everyone in. Now that they have added more rooms they really should add some more space for guests to sit in the evenings to watch the entertainment.

Divine peak restaurant. I will do a separate review for. But it is well worth a visit. You have to book and you receive €8 per person off your meal and the drinks are still all inclusive. The food was beautiful, the staff up there were so friendly and the view was just stunning!

Can’t wait to go back in June. I just hope there is enough room to fit all the guests around the pools and the stage area!

Thank you Andreas, Pino, Giannis and all of the staff at the Damon for a wonderful break away after a truly rubbish 18-24 months!!

Arrived later than expected and was given sandwiches and water. Night security insisted on taking our cases to our room. We had a downstairs 1 bedroom apartment which was well equipped with toaster ,fridge, kettle and cooker even though we were all inclusive. The rooms were very clean and towels changed every day and we think the sheets got changed 3 times in the week we were there. The balcony was small but did have a table 2 chairs and a clothes horse for drying towels. We could just see the small quiet pool from our room. There are 3 pools 2 of them had bars which were open all day. Pino was excellent as an entertainer and it was obvious everyone else thought so too. Plenty of choice with the drinks even had lovely milkshakes. The dining room extends to outside if you would prefer alfresco dining. The food is hit and miss but could always find something to eat but wouldnt be good for vegetarians. They dont tell you that you can order chips and pizzas in the dining room. The female staff were all lovely and friendly in the dining room. The waiters were a bit more reserved but very efficient. Just beware that they only have 1 male shower and 1 female as a courtesy room on the day you leave which is very poor if a lot of you are leaving at the same time. So as our room had to be vacated at 12 and we didnt leave until 19.45 we reluctantly paid 30 euros to keep it on until 18.00. There is a sister hotel on the beach that you can go to to use their gym and sunbeds but cannot use your all inclusive status there

For the price we paid it was what we expected and a bit more. We couldn't really fault it. We stayed bed and breakfast for a week at the end of August to the beginning of September and had a really enjoyable stay.

There are two main pools, one at the back of the reception which is probably the busier of the two which has more of an atmosphere with music playing etc but didn't seem to get as much sun and then another one at the back of the hotel where we spent our time which we found was newer and fresher which got more of the sun. They are both the same size and people do put towels out to reserve the best spots but if you didnt you'd generally get a lounger no matter the time of day. Both of these pools have a small baby pool next to them and there is also another medium size pool in between the two which we didn't use.

We had little interaction with the staff but the ones we came in contact with were all very friendly and helpful this included reception, cleaning, restaurant and bar staff.

We had breakfast every morning and couldn't fault it. The restaurant was never overly busy no matter what time we went and was very well run with lots of staff removing your finished plates and replenishing food etc.

Our room was in a good location on the ground floor in block B. It was one of the dated rooms which didn't bother us as it was clean and spacious. The air con wasn't amazing but sufficient. 2 days out of the week they don't clean the room but still change the towels and bins.

We weren't really around for the entertainment but caught the back end of it a couple of times. There was a fire show one night and an external singer came in on another night who was good other than that it was pino hosting nights such as bingo and quizes. Whenever we passed through day or night the music always seemed punchy and lively.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay and if we were to go back to Paphos which I would say we probably will do we will probably stay at the Damon again. We also found it to be centrally located to the Harbour, old town, kissonegra and coral bay. We haven't really got a bad word to say about the place but we did only really use it as a base. We stayed around the pool for 4 of the 7 days as we spent one day at the beach and 2 days at the water park down the road.

First time in Paphos this was at short notice because of flight cancellation to Riu Corralejo. Arrived at 23:30, Receptionist was hard to understand because of her strong accent and wearing a mask. was given a sandwich with the thinnest slice of ham and a lettuce leaf. We were shown to our premium one bed apartment which was excellent, clean spacious and all Mod cons..We dashed to the bar because last orders are 23:45. Beer was served in disposable plastic cups, understandable as it is a pool bar. Brandy and lemonade was served in a similar style and very weak made acceptable by getting. another Brandy to pour in it. Breakfast the following morning was buffet style with plenty of choice however the dining area is like a works canteen totally functional and lacking in any sort of ambience. Lunch and Dinner were adequate and always something you could eat but again school dineer quality and very repetitive. We ate out four evenings out of the seven that we stayed. The lounge bar was not open so the only bar available was the pool bar. Cocktails although tasty were served in disposable plastic beer glasses. We choose to go out to the local bars every evening where we could get a proper drink in proper glasses. There are three pools with the main pool providing enter tainment but all the beds were taken by 8:00 a,m, However the second pool has beds available all day, this suited us becaus we just wanted to sunbathe and read.
The hotel itself comprises of blocks without any gardens and feels like a concrete jungle. With the exception of our room everything about the hotel suggests that it is on a tight budget and operating to a minimal standard. If you are price conscious then this hotel is adequate, but if you like a little better then look elsewhere. You dont always get get what you pay for. the cost of this holiday was a tad above the cost of the Riu in Coraralejo but the standard offered was well below

There is a child’s pool but I would say it’s more for babies rather than a 2 year old. When Iv been there is a kids club which give the kids stuff to do throughout the day but no actual park as such from what I can remember.
