I really liked staying at this hotel as it was casual and friendly but also clean and functional. It was slightly strange not to have tea/coffee making facilities in my room but a sign did say guests could ask for this, which I didn’t get around to as I was so busy on tours

Great hotel in the marina area. A bit quirky with wooden figures sitting around the fireplace. Nice bar area and a really nice breakfast buffet. Rooms are a decent size and are very comfortable. The location was convenient to restuarants and the opera house.

Dear Tuffers1707, Thank you for staying with us and for sharing review in regards to your recent stay at our property. We appreciate greatly for listing pointers on what to expect and what to do, as well as some recommendations when staying at our property or visiting Iceland. However, I just want to point out that upon requesting tea/coffee facilities at the reception it is also possible to request tea and coffee and it is free of charge. Yes, Iceland can be expensive but the breathtaking sceneries, that will give you new wonderful experience is always worthied. We hope to welcome you again in our property. Best regards IH Guest Relations

How far is this hotel from the airport?
It's about an hour drive from the main international airport. If you want to see a video review of this hotel with where to park, head over to You.Tube and search for 'Tim and Matt's Travel Reviews' where we have a video you can watch.

There is a company called FlyBus. They go from the airport to all Reykjavik hotels and there is also a FlyBus to the Blue Lagoon. Your hotel arranges door-to-door pickup when you go back to the airport. I don’t remember the cost ($30??), but it’s by far the easiest, cheapest way to get from airport into town.

Dear Chris H, Thank you for your inquiry. The price between companies and agencies may differ depending on the tour season. I would recommend you to book directly an excursions to the tour companies such as Grayline and Reykjavik Excursion. Some of the tours you can book with us upon your arrival but for example blue lagoon you have to book it in advance as it is very popular and most of the time is fully booked. For further inquiries dont hesitate to contact us. Best regards Dolores
