We found this to be a great apartment, excellent location close to bus stop number 6. Everything required was in the unit. You could order a breakfast basket which was delivered the day before, and then sour dough bread left at your room at 8am or you could do your own. Towels were replaced daily if required and milk replaced (full sized cartons). Apartment was compact but functional, sitting area, desk. Power sockets by bed, adequate storage, hanging space, good shower, (we put a small table in bathroom to place toilet bags on). A guest laundry was provided in another building on the same street about 5 minutes' walk away, laundry powder also provided. Only suggestion we had was to have tissues in the bathroom.

Hotel's Favourite
Had a great stay here. We had the studio apt and it was the perfect size for 2 people. Very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. I thought bed was super comfy. My sister with a bad back had to sleep on pullout couch instead of the bed because it was firmer. Had 2 minor aggravations, but other than those had a great stay. The hotel advertises if you are gluten free they will accommodate that food allergy. I confirmed before arrival we would be getting gluten free bread. Out of a 5 day stay it only actually happened once after major persistence on our part. No idea why if they offer it they could not follow through. If you are GF there is a great GF bread at Korean grocery store. Other issue was the induction stove. 2 of us could not figure it out. Turns out you have to have pan on the burner before it will heat up. Who knew? Instructions would have helped. One of the best amenities is the reception area. Great place to stop by to warm up and hang out on the couches while waiting for room to be ready. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful in reception. The reception area has two large bathrooms and even a shower. It was awesome we could stow our bags and retrieve them once room was ready. Loved plenty of coffee available in our room. Definitely would stay here again.

We stayed a full 7 days at this hotel, and we enjoyed absolutely everything! We were in the printing press courtyard building, in a family suite. The property was extremely clean, rooms and bathrooms were well appointed with ample supplies. The cereal, milk, juice, and coffee/tea assortments were very nice and welcoming. It was nice to refill our water bottles with Iceland’e amazing tap water each evening, and keep them in the refrigerator for the next day. They also provided ice too, which we greatly enjoyed. We also enjoyed the delightful toiletries that were provided. The hotel staff was extremely responsive before we arrived, as all as while we were on site. They responded super quick to our questions along the way. They also provided us with outstanding restaurant recommendations, that were all fabulous! Close to many sites, but also very nice and quiet accommodations. We felt very safe and secure throughout our stay. I cannot imagine a better stay in the city. Thank you for making our Iceland vacation amazing!!! We appreciate all you and your team do for your guest.

Excellent apartment in very good location, 2 huge bedrooms and very large bathroom in a lovely old building. Reception is in another building but they are available 24/7 by phone or in person. Lovely helpful staff who phoned us taxis and gave advice.

Wonderful! So much better than the place we stayed in last time (which basically had no heat). We stayed in a studio with a kitchenette, which we used a lot to save money on restaurants. (We spent our money on activities.) The kitchenette had everything we needed-pots, plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs, coffee machine, microwave, fridge. The shower was fantastic, with a waterfall-type head, excellent hot water, and really great shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (L’Occtaine). I didn’t even use the shampoo, etc that I brought because it was so lovely. The staff was helpful and kind, place was immaculate, with comfortable bedding and pillows.

Could not have asked for a better place to stay. It was perfect! Great location, many nearby bus stops where tour bus operators can pick you up. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. And the view of the harbor two blocks away is one I never grew tired of. Loved our daily delivery of food and fresh bread. My first visit to Iceland and if I return, no, WHEN I return, I'll be staying here again.

Very good choice. For about the same price as a good hotel you get so much more. Because our flights were obtained using air miles, my husband thought it would be a good idea to treat ourselves to a royal suite. I am so glad we did! The Prime Minister’s Residence is very close to the centre of town, one of the tour bus stops, and lots of restaurants etc.. The suite is very spacious and well equipped, with everything you might need to do a little cooking, which we did one evening after arriving home late from a long tour, when I was too tired to go out. There is a nice settee, breakfast bar and stools, large bathroom with bath and shower, and large comfortable bed. The people at Reception were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts (additional cost) were well worth having, with so much food that we made lunch as well on some days. Just a few suggestions which would make these suites even better: - black-out curtains, as the artificial light outside the bedroom was as bright as day (and it will be brighter in July) - instructions for how to use the hob (not obvious to me) - a little more drawer space Definitely recommended - a box of tissues - a box of tissues would be nice

We had a 2 bed apartment, great sized rooms, comfy beds, clean and fresh throughout. Daily cleaning service in fact it was all the privacy and facilities of an apartment with all the comforts of a hotel. We had breakfast included which was a selection of cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fruit, and spreads left in the fridge in the afternoon and then a fresh loaf left on your door handle early in the morning, we all found plenty to enjoy and never finished it as there was so much. It also had a washing machine and dryer so we came home with no holiday washing, absolutely brilliant!
