Hotel Berg is a newly renovated four-star boutique hotel on two floors located above a small marina in Keflavík, where most travellers begin and end their journey in Iceland due to its short distance to the international airport. Hotel Berg is only a 5-minute drive to the airport, yet has quiet surroundings, as it is well away from the noises of the airport. All guests enjoy free access to a warm outdoor sitting pool on the rooftop. Ideal place to relax and enjoy the view, as well as to catch the northern lights or the midnight sun depending on the season. The hotel has 36 rooms. They all have free Wi-Fi, a fridge, a flat-screen TV, bathrobes and a desk. A private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer are also in every room. Property amenities besides our pool, include free coffee & tea, a spacious lounge area with a fireplace and a bar, free 24/7 shuttle to the airport for guests who are scheduled to take a flight, 24/7 front desk service and free Wi-Fi in all common areas.

Wonderful little hotel. Customer service is top notch. Cozy lobby with woodburning fireplace. Wine and spirits, ice, hot water available. Pretty sure Nespresso machine is available all day for coffee. Comfy beds, nice rain shower, very quiet, variety of breakfast choices on the buffet, and the halls smell so nice. Wish I had the chance to try dinner which I hear is excellent. Next time. The town is cute with a terrific path along the water complete with sculptures. Laundry, covid tests and late night kebab shack nearby. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the staff. So helpful and friendly, even the cleaning crew! Perfect place to stay the night before a flight or any time. Thank you Rut (Ruth?) for being so lovely. Can't wait to come back and see all of you again.

This was the last hotel out of five I stayed at in Iceland and one of my favourites. When we entered from the cold, there was a log fire burning and we sat at it with a hot drink (which was free contrary to another review I read). We went for a dip in the hot tub and generally unwound in a relaxing environment. The room was great and the bed was extremely comfortable. To top it all off we then saw the Northern lights over the hotel - a perfect end to the holiday.

Our room had a lovely view. The front desk had wonderful service( especially the sweet blonde girl( I am sorry..I did not get her name.) The location is fabulous and within walking distance of great sights and restaurants. We saw the Northern lights from here!

This was only hotel I've ever stayed at with no free morning coffee in the room or lobby. Instead you could pay $17 for the breakfast buffet. Luckily we found a great bakery (which the name escapes me) a mile down the road. The "bar", which we were looking forward to after a long day on the road, had little choice and was the reception desk. The only reason I give them 2 stars instead of 1 is that the rooftop hot pool felt great and had a good view, but even this was in bad disrepair with large sections of tile missing and loose tiles on the sides and bottom. As for the room itself, there was a weird switch set-up where you had to discover a master switch inside the room to turn a light on, and the bed was much too soft for my bad back. The shower in the bathroom was designed so that it was nearly impossible to take a shower without soaking the entire floor. The topper though was that when I woke up in the morning I discovered dried blood on my pillowcase and pillow, and it wasn't mine. When I told them about it at the desk while checking out, all I got was "oh, sorry." They might have at least offered us a free cup of coffee.

Great small hotel near the airport in Keflavík - so ideal for that first or last night in Iceland. Helpful staff and decent breakfast considering the hotel was quiet with c19 etc. Why bother going into Reykavik ? Sty here sns then head south or north for amazing scenery. Reykavik has charm but far too many pubs and gastro pubs unless you are on a drinking weekend … in which case
