We stayed in a "deluxe" room - at ground level across the street from a karaoke bar. I would only expect a budget room at such a location. The windows were heavier than usual, but it didn't stop the bass or the screams at closing time.
The sofa in the deluxe room looks nice in pictures, but is a creaky sofa bed. There's not much "deluxe" feeling about it. The soap in the shower didn't work, and the towels were the smallest kind. It's not horrible, it's just more "budget" than "deluxe".
I am aware that a "deluxe" room is not a suite, but costing more than a regular room I do expect it to be at a slightly better location and with slightly better amenities than a regular room.
The location within the city is marvellous, and as long as you don't pay extra for anything apart from a regular room you'll probably be fine. Breakfast is good, although the bacon was cold rather than hot which is an unexpected choice.

Hotel’s location is really good – next to caste, city centre and close to railway station, restaurants. If you get the room with castle view you will enjoy it. The food in the restaurant is tasty and good quality. However the rooms are small, with very basic furniture and bathroom with shower curtains and small sink. Bed is too soft… It is okayish to stay one or two nights but longer stay would not be too nice. And the Swedish rules about parking cars (odd days on one side of the road and on even on another – not easy for foreigners to find out which side is right particular day as all signs are in Swedish).

This is a well positioned hotel in the centre of Orebro commanding a good view over the castle. Generally very clean with helpful staff there was nothing out of the ordinary for this mid to high price hotel. Breakfast was good with lots of choice, but rooms were somewhat on the small side.

It was just great to be back at the hotel Elite Stora Hotellet in Örebro! The hotel serves great breakfast and has good staff. In the hotel there is also a good restaurant and a pub/bar to visit. Highly recommeded!

This is the place to stay when You are in Orebro! Large rooms, clean and a great bed. Nice breakfast, has all you need. Tranquil Spa. A gym that has all the equipment one needs for a proper work-out. Placed on the end of the pedestrian street, this hotel is close to everything worth experiencing here. If we are ever coming back, here is the place for us to stay.

We were traveling as a family of 4. The room we were given was sufficient for our needs in terms of size, however the noise from the street was unbearable. It was practically as though we had our beds inside the bar that was across the street. (and to make it worse, it was karaoke night!)
The staff did try to accommodate but was only able to provide a room adjacent from the bar. It reduced the noise somewhat but very clearly still present.
Aside from the noise, the hotel was adequate for a single night stay.

We stayed here for one night. The Hotel is easy to find and the staff were really friendly and helpful. They even gave us the name and where to find the delicious bread they serve at the breakfast. The hotelrooms are a bit older but that doesnt bothered us at all because this bed. . Lets talk about this bed : It was so comfy we had a really good sleep in there! I have the opportunity to park your car right behind the Hotel. U get from the reception a ticket. It costs about 25Euros. The Hotel is close to the castle (2 min) and to the shopping area (5 min) I can totally recommend this Hotel in this beautiful town.

Our experience was terrible. We go very often on weekends to spa hotels to spend some time and relax. I booked this hotel through booking.com, as I always do, we drove all the way from Södertälje to Örebro, to arrive there and the receptionist say that we had to PRE BOOK the spa. Nothing was written on booking. I went to the hotel room and started crying, our Valentine´s weekend was destroyed!! I got a message few days before going asking about the breakfast time, couldn´t they send also this information????? Well, they didn´t. And talking about breakfast, what a mess. They tried to make it "corona safe", but it just became a complete mess. Everything had extra fee, extra fee to park, to bring the dog, to use the spa. Horribleeeee experience!!! I am never going back to this hotel!

This hotel was certainly at its best in the 50’s but is definitely lacking update and maintenance since then. Rooms are old fashion while bathroom are more than outdated and very very small with black mold. Nevertheless, price are reflecting this status
