Detailed Reviews
Hotel was nice, in the center, only 5 minutes walk to the castle.
Room we got was perfect and close to the lift so my friend who has trouble walking did not have to go far away but just around the corner.
The room was reasonable and nice, however it looked like it was an older hotel. The bathroom was nice and good too.
Wifi worked well. The room had a kettle so it was nice. Ironing board and iron were also there in case you needed to iron some clothes.
The room was big enough so they could place the bed a little further away from the table so that you did not have to wrap around the edge when you turned in the bed. The table could not be moved, it was stuck in the wall. Neither was possible to move the bed because on other side it was screwed bedside table.
Breakfast was served in breakfast bags due to Covid-19, it was a good idea. But, there could be more to choose from, but ...

Unfortunately, I cannot give a good rating for this hotel.
On the one hand, the location of the hotel is central, but the direct neighbourhood does not necessarily invite you to go for a walk (late) in the evening.
While the entrance area is friendly, clean and modern, the rest of the hotel is not.
Paint is peeling everywhere, things are obviously broken, everywhere you look there is an urgent need for repair.
Water is warm, suddenly it gets cold within seconds, then lukewarm again, then cold again, then hot.
Annoying!
Table tops are loose or only rest loosely on the table legs, cables stick out of the wall.
The beds are completely worn out.
It just makes a depressing impression.
The structure of the building is nice, but it needs to be looked after and maintained, and that hasn't been done here for years.
It wouldn't be so bad if the room rates were the same. But the rooms are quite expensive.
The price-performance ratio is not right at all, completely overpriced for the condition offered.
Wifi runs well and stable.
I did not feel comfortable and therefore there will not be a return visit.

Very nice single room on floor 3/ the only room with a small balcony with evening sun, but a very small lift for those who need it. Noticed that it was newly renovated.
The bed felt like the mattress had been forgotten, there was only a thin mattress pad and a small pillow = bad sleep, unfortunately it lowered my rating.
Good location on the outskirts, close to the castle, quite ok breakfast, boring lobby, but nice staff

We booked our room at short notice and unfortunately we didn't read any reviews before, but we got stuck with the central location in Örebro. Booked a double room/standard twin, which according to the website would be a comfortable room in a warm and classic interior with two 90 cm wide single beds, armchair and desk. The photos on the website looked very appealing! But, oh, how disappointed we were! Admittedly, the room contained two 90-beds, an armchair and a desk. But it was a single room under the eaves on the 5th floor, where they put an extra bed, which meant that we had minimal floor space for two people, luggage, etc. To get in and out of the bed closest to the wall, you had to crawl via the foot end!
The fact that it was a single room also meant that there was only one towel hook in the bathroom and we only got one room key, etc.
The girl at the reception, when we checked in, was very nice and helpful. The staff who then manned the reception, including when we checked out, were not as service minded and seemed more interested in the computer than in the guests. When we checked out, the person in question barely looked up from the computer and didn't even ask if we were happy with our stay - but maybe he didn't dare….
Never again will we stay at a hotel in the First Hotel chain!

We have been scammed at this hotel! We got a single room instead of double which they had put 2 mattresses in! The headboard was on the long side of the bed! Even the janitor who later came to look at our unstable toilet which was not properly glued to the floor confirmed that he had never seen this room with 2 mattresses. We had to squeeze in me and my 2 daughters 5 and 7 in this tiny room!. There were pubic hair in the bathroom and hair in the bed which made me furious! Since the Hotel and the all other hotel were fully booked due to an event we were not offerred another room. Nor could I Leave the Hotel! My 2 daughters could not sleep the entire night because 1) there was no ventilation at all in the room and it got so hot!! 2) the room was too small being a single room which is not supposed to have a grown up and two small children because of the size of the room. 3) we had to have the window open and not the whole way due to safety reason being on 5th floor, to get some air which made the sound from the street from cars/taxis and people on their way from clubs talking impossible to rest! I am utterly shocked by this hotel! We paid for a clean double room! NOT a dirty filthy single room with no ventilation! Shame on you! Seeing the hair in bed, I took a photo went downstairs to complain. The manager who happened to be there said we had booked through an agency and we need to talk to them if we wanted compensation?!. (Needless to say when I called directly to the hotel to book a room 3 days earlier when there was a room available at their sister hotel Hjalmar I was told by the front desk to book the hotel on the internet not by phone to get a better deal!)
They said further I was to talk to ordinary personnel when I checked out the next day. Because right now they only had 19year old boy which was not ordinary personnel in the front desk. Guess what no ordinary personal was at the front desk the next day to take care of my complaints. Breakfast was ok nothing special but some selection of bread and fruit was ok, felt like a canteen and it was utterly hot, no ventilation at all.

Super friendly staff and good hotel rooms with good cleaning
. The breakfast was good and tasty.
I ordered fruit platters and champagne when my friend and I arrived. Unfortunately I think the fruit platter was really bad and definitely not worth 300. Me and my party got some water melon and green and red grapes. Would have liked to have received some strawberries, someone else's or at least received several different kinds of fruit.

Really nice hotel in central Örebro. Appreciated the old charm and comfortable bed. A little bit of a hidden entrance and a small entrance. The check-in was easy and the staff was welcoming and friendly.

+1
Quick overstay in Örebro, central placed hotel, walking distance to almost everything, nice rooms and good staff! Nice bed, even the small rooms, nice breakfast with the most you desire for but no bacon…!? Clean and warm! Even a small bar in the lobby!👍

I had a not so nice and small single room on the last floor, very small. The first room had a bad smell coming from the toilet. No recepetion at night. Close to the center but not so central. A bit sad hotel even if the bed was comfortable

Thank you for the review and we are sorry that you did not have a pleasant stay. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the castle and center and we often get a high score from our guests about the location.

What’s good about this hotel is the nice service at the front desk and it’s elaborate, although not very original, breakfast buffet. Good is also it’s location in the center of the city and close to the castle. The ambience of the hotel is old and grand which could be nice if it did not also mean that the hotel is rather torn and in need of a renovation. Especially the bathroom was a disaster, with broken tiles and no windows. After complaining about this, I was transferred to a building next door, where the rooms were much nicer. If you stay in this hotel, be sure to stay in the newly renovated adjacent building.
