Scandic Örebro Central is the hub at the center of the hub. Located close to the central station and in the heart of the vibrant district that is forming around the transport hub, you'll find Scandic Örebro Central with 160 rooms. An intimate, flexible and vibrant hotel, with a heart that beats for personal service, designed for the discerning traveler.

With us, you'll feel at home despite being away, and in motion despite resting happily in an armchair made of the softest Tarnsjo leather in the calm of the hotel's lush lobby. Flip up your laptop and continue working, or just relax for a moment in your hotel room.

The hotel has a personal touch and invites you to meet friends old and new, from all over the country. The lobby is designed as a living room, divided by green curtains of vegetation and dotted with soft armchairs and comfortable seats that invite you either to work or wind down.

Here you can relax with a bite to eat, quench your thirst or hold a digital meeting. The warm, open lobby combines sustainable materials with timeless values and innovative design solutions. The interior boasts wood, leather and stone, which are not only beautiful, durable natural materials that age with dignity, but also provide a connection with Orebro’s proud tradition of craftsmanship.

The train rolls into the west, naturally linking the old shoe and biscuit town with Stockholm, Gothenburg and Oslo. The hotel is located close to Orebro Central Station, shopping and sights.

A very nice hotel, very close to the railway station and a pleasant walk into the actual centre of Orebro.
The room was of a good size with a comfy bed and well laid out shower / toilet area containing good products.
Even though the hotel is close to a main road and railway track there was minimal noise.
During our stay of two nights we saw many families with small children staying at the hotel.
The breakfast selection was excellent, and catered for everyone’s requirement.
All staff encountered were extremely pleasant and helpful.
There were a couple of issues, firstly there was quite a few guests confused by the car park set up and even though I enquired with ‘local’ guests about the signage, coming from the UK I still would be unable to explain how the hotel car parking system worked!
Secondly, personally, I believe that guest should expect their room to be serviced automatically and not having to requested it being done by 11pm on the previous night.
Overall and very nice hotel with good facilities, family friendly and the offer of an excellent breakfast, close to railway station and fairly central.

If visiting Örebro I would recommend this establishment.

We wanted to take a boat trip on the Göta Canal on our journey through Sweden, which was mainly carried out by train. The season was already coming to an end and one of the few day trips left was a trip from Töreboda, less than an hour by train from Örebro, with bus transfer back to the starting point. Since Örebro was the closest major city with extensive hotel facilities, we decided to stay there for two nights and from there take the train to the Göta Canal and back again. Örebro itself we did not find very interesting. We chose the Hotel Scandic Örebro Central, ideally located near the main train station for train passengers.

A modern building, friendly reception at reception. Right at check-in we were asked if we wanted an interim cleaning of the room during the two-day stay. As usual in many chain hotels, rooms are cleaned on request and bed linen and towels are changed for stays of several days. Personally, however, I prefer the opt-out solution practiced by some hotels, where you announce with a hanger on the room door that you do not need cleaning. Next to the reception a self-service espresso machine for a complimentary coffee. Unfortunately defective, as the receptionist told us, and directed us to the restaurant to the machine normally used for breakfast.
The room, category Standard, was sufficiently large (not all Scandic hotels in our experience) and had the usual decor of Scandic Standard rooms in Sweden. That means no wardrobe, but a clothes rack, at the same time a bracket for an ironing board and an iron. After many contributions to this website, the closet should be essential for travelers from the German-speaking world. For those from Sweden it seems to be the ironing board, because it can be found in many Swedish hotels. In any case, we do not need both for a short stay. So the storage facilities were very limited, but there was a safe, which I really appreciate.

On the side of the hotel where our room was located, a four-lane road and an industrial connecting track led past. On one occasion, freight cars were moved there in the middle of the night to an industrial operation, including the sound of a closing railway barrier and the sound of a diesel locomotive. But otherwise it was quiet, no street noise or noise from the nearby station could be heard.

The breakfast buffet was extensive and excellent and there was enough space at breakfast for the guests of the yet very large hotel.

We stayed at Scandic Centralen in Örebro in a family room for 4 people and we were impressed by the overall cleanliness and modern design of the room. The beds were really comfortable, but unfortunately the pillows could have been a little better.

Excellent breakfast but parking challenges.

The breakfast at Scandic Centralen was a highlight during our stay. It was plentiful and tasted very good. Unfortunately we had some difficulties with parking spaces nearby, which can be inconvenient if you are traveling by car.

Light admission early in the morning.

Another minor drawback was the connection of the curtains to the wall in the room. This led to light coming in early in the morning, which can be annoying if you want to sleep a little longer.

In summary, Scandic Centralen offers a clean and modern designed environment with comfortable beds and a fantastic breakfast. If you are not dependent on parking and don't mind the light coming in in the morning, it could be a good choice for your stay in Örebro.

Booked the hotel because it was brand new and had AC. The location is not so good and is quite busy with no cafes or restaurants around. You feel that you are a little "off". No green areas right near. I traveled for work and chose comfort over location. However, the AC did not work and it was very hot summer nights. Even though I asked for a different room immediately when I checked in and discovered it was too hot, I was not allowed to change rooms. Daily I pointed out that it was hot and stuffy but no one addressed the problem. A janitor came every now and then to try to fix the problem but without success. Only on the last evening, after a serious scolding to the receptionist, was I allowed to change rooms. At 22 o'clock in the evening. Not optimal. However, the kind and helpful receptionist was very nice, responsible and gave me a better room that was cool and comfortable. I also received two vouchers for breakfast at any Scandic Hotel. But, I feel a little cheated. This is a rather expensive hotel in Örebro and I think I should get my money back for the two nights when I couldn't sleep because of the stuffy and hot room. My work trip was made much more difficult because of this. The hotel is located a bit outside the nicer parts of Örebro in a somewhat deserted area without cafes or restaurants. You should know that... The hotel is otherwise great, nicely decorated, good staff, good service and great food! There is a nice and new gym! Had they given me a cool room with working AC from the start, they would have gotten 5 stars!

I will never stay in Scandic Örebro Central igen the dinner is cold, served with chips who dony even fit the meal. But the worst part is the service i was putting my work clothes for laundry, because i should live here in 15 days. And ended up with a bill for 1000 sek for laundry. And they didnt tell me the use a company from outside and it will cost a kick in the balls for laundry to one machine .

Never ever again this was such a bad experience in all categories

The two bags of laundry that you handed in took the laundrycompany that we work with take care of as we do not have a laundry in our own premises. Sorry that we did not live up to your expectations regarding our restaurant. Hope you find another option that suits you better if you visit Örebro again. Thank you for your feedback and wish you a nice September. /Jimmy Myhrinder General Manager

Worked great for our large family. Called and booked and got good help. Ended up in a four-bed room and the two oldest children had to share a teenage room. Since Minstingen still drinks gruel, we got help getting a kettle up to the room. One daughter had difficulty getting the wifi on the mobile phone, and received really good IT support from someone at the reception. On the whole very satisfied.

Nice and welcoming staff. The kids got a ticket to the bar to pick up a Moctail each for free and our dog got to come along. In the room, the dog had been given a water bowl, three chewing bones and a poo bag. Super fresh room that felt completely newly renovated. Bunk beds for the children that were folded down from the wall, superb. In the morning we each got a well-filled breakfast bag with us because we checked out before breakfast. Also a gluten free breakfast bag which was just OK. The whole stay was far beyond expectations, we would love to come back.

2 nights in August 2023 with 1 child and 2 adults.

Positively:
Fresh bathrooms
Close to train/bus/taxi/air transfer
Nice room
Well-kept
Friendly staff

Less good:
Incredibly responsive for being newly built
Curtains do not make the room completely dark
No soft close on doors = banging when neighboring rooms come and go
Chaos at breakfast despite an appointment
No food service before 5pm (difficult with children)
Tough menu with niche food that does not suit everyone (mainly children)
No play corner/room for children
Unclear and expensive parking
No extra garbage bags (diapers) despite booking a cot

We stayed here one night while we traveled between Småland and an area further up north. The hotel desk staff was so friendly. The rooms, while small as in all Scandic hotels, was clean and comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast there and the dinner menu was limited and actually my grandfather had a difficult time finding something suitable to eat. Breakfast was amazing though with a great variety and quantity of foods! Parking was easy and was in the lot next to the hotel. If traveling through the area, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Arrived a little early, no problem checking in. Good room for the whole family. Good breakfast with something for everyone to eat. A big plus was that they thought of the children, who got to pick up a children's drink from the bar in the evening, which was very much appreciated by them.
