The breakfast is amazingly rich with a large and fresh choices. Although the elevator looks a bit antiquated, it could encourage guests to walk the stairways. If not because of the group rate we had provided by conference organizer, the room rate is a bit high.

A quite acceptable hotel in the very nice city of Örebro. A very delicate breakfast but otherwise nothing very special. The staff was impersonal and not very professional and serviceminded. The room was quite expensive so I am very doubtful whether this was good value for money.

During the Corona pandemic, it was really disappointing to see blood on the sink when I arrived at the room. The bathroom had clearly not been properly cleaned. The membership benefits had been changed and less advantageous for the client. Otherwise, it was a good stay and the personal was friendly.

No AC. Human feeces in the toilet when arriving to the room.
Dirty showers and only one pillow (with crap quality) per bed. Dusty rooms but luckily we could open up the window to drag some of the dust out. Breakfast was OK but who decides to put a whole lump of butter for everyone to take a pice of during COVID-19 times on a buffet?? Like hello, I’ve been staying at what people would consider as a low price hotel and even they had single pieces of pre packaged butter for people to take instead of everyone sharing a lump which is exposed to the open air. Breakfast was also 100% customised to children, which we think is odd since children can’t really book a hotel by themselves.
But we get that since they have decided to rebrand its hotels for families.
That is why I think it’s a terrible business model since they still have available conference rooms and such. Do children hold meetings nowadays?

Upon arrival after a long day of travel, the parking entrance wouldn't open when we buzzed. With my group in the van, I scurried in to the front desk to ask what I needed to do to get parked. I was greeted warmly by Lee, who was amazing and dove right in to get us set and me calmed down ;) The parking lots spaces were filled for onsite parking so he got us the info needed for a nearby lot (that actually turned out to cost less than the onsite parking and was a reasonable difference). He was fine with us parking in front while we unloaded our bags to check in and checked us in efficiently and was so kind. We really appreciated him! We had dinner at the restaurant and our food was good and the staff in the restaurant were very good as well. Our breakfast was good and our room was comfortable. The location of the hotel was great with many places that we wanted to visit in easy walking distance. We enjoyed our whole experience here, and each time we passed through the lobby and Lee was working, he chatted with us by name to see how things were going - thank you, Lee!

Expensive, hot and I got a room that should never have been avaliable. Pick any other hotel in the town of Örebro and you will get at least the same if not better experience for less money.
The room had a constant background noise from some kind of generator, most likely connected with the relax-spa on top. It was always on which made it very difficult to sleep. When I complained about it, all other rooms were booked (true). But the staff seemed not the slightest surprised about it, they no doubt had heard that complaint before. So this hotel has issues when it comes to leadership, they focus on making money thanks to their location just across from the Conventum. Add the name "Grand" and it will always get people to stay there.
The hotel itself has the reputation of being the hottest hotel in town. it has always had that issue for the last decade, but once again, seems not to be prioritized. I wonder how much money the hotel could save by actually trying to lower the heating cost... My guess, quite a lot...
So find another hotel to spend your money on. This one just isn't worth it at all.

Nice centrally located hotel in Örebro.
The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The room was nice, reasonably sized, fresh and spotless clean. The only thing I missed was that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. That really should be standard in any hotel.
The breakfast buffet was excellent. Fresh food, fresh fruit, orange juice, a large selection of hot & cold dishes.
Overall a pleasant stay.
The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The stay was comfortable and the room was clean, although a bit too warm without airconditioning. Personnel is very welcoming and willing to help. I particularly liked the fact that I could rent one of the hotels bicyckes free of charge. Breakfast was excellent, there was lots of food to choose from. The only thing I missed was a small fridge in the room, as well as an electric kettle. Without airconditioning and a fridge I don’t think I could recommend the hotel in summer.
