Very comfortable guesthouse, excellent staff, most certainly worth repeat visits. It's not perfect and has probably been affected by the pandemic, like the village - a few soft furnishings are missing in the room, menu items are a bit limited but the overall feel is very homely.

It is the most homely, beautiful guesthouse with warm Karoo hospitality! Excellent food. Highly recommended. The room was warm, electric blankets on the bed. We asked for a microwave and it was delivered very soon.

Accommodation very comfortable in spite of the 0C temperature outside. Cotton sheets and comfy beds were great, well equipped room and loved the slightly whacky decor. Had a wonderful hot bath - much needed!

We spent one night at the hotel on our way home from Cape Town to Joburg. We had read great reviews about the place and it turned out to be better than the reviews. From the warm welcome to the beautiful room, delicious dinner and breakfast, our stay was a delight. The cherry on the top was Hannah whose warmth and caring knows no bounds!

this property is a gem amongst a very small town with not much to offer. it is spectacularly decorated and the attention to detail is amazing. Jan has made so much effort to offer a very comfortable stay for his guests and his staff are very helpful and friendly. the beds are comfortable. you have ample space to relax after a long drive and have a cold beer. the dinner was delicious and my family devoured their food. we arrived to our room that was newly painted so they moved us to two separate rooms instead with no hassle. Hanover can be quite a scary looking town when you enter it and you may be concerned about your safety of your belongings but never feel threatened. dining was quite costly.

Located in the middle of a run down town.. dirt roads full of potholes and beggars everywhere with nothing to see or or do. Wifi was advertised.. it did not work at all and the satellite TV had limited channels. The bathroom uses French draining which results in terrible smells and the toilet did not flush properly. The dinner was tasty but expensive with very limited choices. The one positive was the friendly staff.

On our arrival we were shown to our room, only to discover that the room had no cupboard in which to hang our clothes - I had these on hangers on the back seat of the car. This is the first time that I have ever stayed in an hotel where there was no cupboard or hanging space. I was informed that one had to request a room with a cupboard! It then started raining heavily and unfortunately rain was coming in under the window due to the fact that the overhead gutter was leaking badly and also under the door. After reporting it, the staff brought towels and blankets to soak up the water on the floor. Hannah did her best to assist and offered us another room to sleep in but we didn't want to have to pack up everything and move.

Not as expected. Room was very unpractical with high bath, especially for older people. Food was raw and Hanna was not very friendly when it was reported and did not rectify the problem. The toilet was not working in another room and had to be hand filled with water Food very expensive at R200 per plate for dinner. Pot tee at R40 very expensive it was not a pleasant experience and will not be used again
