Next House Copenhagen is hailed for its pristine cleanliness and central location, making it a hit among sightseers. The vibrant atmosphere and array of social spaces receive glowing remarks, although the compact room sizes are noted by guests. While the service generally earns praise for its helpfulness, some visitors have experienced issues with extra charges and occasional rudeness.
Travelers appreciate the quiet rooms equipped with noise-canceling features, despite occasional street noise. The hostel offers good value, but reviewers caution about additional costs for certain amenities and services.

This hostel had everything for spending an amazing time in Copenhagen !
The common areas are exceptional, you can play table tennis, darts, board games, fuss ball, go to the gym, play a five a side game, go to the rooftop bar, watch a movie in the cinema room, and so on ! Also, the hostel organizes some animations at night (quiz night for example). The breakfast and the unlimited pizza buffet at night are really affordable compared to the pricey danish life. The hostel is walkable to the city center we never took the transports. The room was comfy but a little bit small, but it was ok for a few days.
I would definitely visit again if I go back to Copenhagen!

I can talk about NH only in superlatives. The location is great, just 5 mins walk from Central Station, Airport bus stop in front of the hotel, there is also Netto supermarket nearby. We took quadruple room with private bathroom. Room is bit small with minimalistic design but cosy and it perfectly serve its purpose the oversleep. It has comfy beds and nice bathroom with heated floor which was pleasant. The room was clean and very well soundproofed, almost zero city noise or noise from other surrounding rooms. One of the greatest things on this hostel are the facilities like lounges, bars but also the rooftop shared kitchen with garden. Next Arena space which includes football pitch and gym is outstanding! For those who will come with kids, don’t be afraid, you will have a lot of fun there. The staff we've met there were all friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again :)

Copenhagen is expensive yet if you're prepared to stay in a dormitory with high standards the this is the place at a great price. The rooms though small included ensuite, cleaned each day along with great facilities at a small extra cost for gym, laundry etc. There could be more food selection, yet you're close to many other eateries. Signage could be made better yet go have a wonder to find where everything is.

We shared the little room as a family. Thus it was bearable. With strangers I cannot imagine, for the toilet door in the room could not be locked. However there are clean and good toilets und showers in the basement. The bunk beds are narrow but with two electric sockets and one USB port at the lamp. Pouch on the bunk bed wall hold the handy and/or razor when loading over night. Big enough for the purse and sun glasses, too. Kitchen is nice one the roof, for an extra 20DKK for the stay, Netto supermarket some 300m away for the breakfast items. If you are early, there are paid lockers in the basement to store your items, so you can use your first day and can even take a shower before you store your baggage and head to town.

We stayed there as a family of four for three nights. The price is okay. The rooms are very small. It is very centrally located, you can reach everything on foot. It is a hostel that is more suitable for young people than for families. It is very lively and noisy. Quiet places in the hostel would be good.
The kitchen - which you have to pay extra per person to use - should be better maintained, i.e. spoons were always missing and you couldn't make coffee or tea (lack of French press or teapot). The water pipes were very noisy (uninsulated?).

Next House is really well located for walking around Copenhagen.
You can reach all the main tourist spots by walking up to 30 mins.
Easy to reach from the airport and main train station.
I stayed in a girls dorm. The rooms are tiny and poorly ventilated (we kept our window open round the clock).
There’s no curtains on the beds so privacy is limited and you’re really affected by other guests’ noise and lights.
The beds are comfortable.
The shower was warm and powerful, but the motion-sensor light doesn’t see very far and kept switching off every few seconds. I kept having to open the cubicle door and wave my hand around to get the light to turn back on.
This is definitely a party hostel - loud music in the dimly lit communal areas, and other guests were rowdy. It was hard to sleep with the noise, with people shouting and running up and down the corridors until 4am. It wasn’t nice to leave the room and find the corridor and stairwell littered with empty beer cups and vomit.
Don’t stay here if you need somewhere quiet, but great if you’re up for a night out.
I highly recommend the free walking tour.
Breakfast did not impress - queued for 15 minutes at 10am. The only hot offering is DIY toasties and undercooked potato wedges, which didn’t appeal to me for breakfast. I had a slice of bread with jam. Cereals were on offer, but no milk or yogurt when I got there.
Next day I arrived at 10:20am and was told it was too late to buy a breakfast ticket (despite service until 10:30am). Would recommend finding breakfast at one of the many nearby Espresso Houses instead.

+1
This was our 1st time staying in a hostel as a family, and I was a little apprehensive. The minute we walked through the door all my worries disappeared! Next house is fabulous, there was a real mix of families, couples , singles and groups and just a lovely friendly vibe. Reception staff where lovely and we used the self check in station which was fast and efficient.
Location: 5-10 min from the central station, or there is a bus stop literally outside which goes to and from the airport. There is a netto literally 2 mins away that sells everything you need!
Room: we had a 4 bedded private room, the kids loved it, for a family it’s more than enough room as you can spread out , would be a bit cosy if staying with strangers. Beds comfy. Good bathroom but could do with a small bath Mat as water does spill out the shower but nothing major. We stayed on the 1st floor and had 3 peaceful nights of sleep.
Facilities: fab, we paid the small fee around £2 each to use the sports court, the kids played football while we watched with a drink. We played board games, table football and shuffle board too! One night there was golf all over the hostel which was a great idea.
Food: breakfast was basic but good, cereals , yoghurt and a LOT of toasted sandwich machines . Unusual having toasties for breakfast but we embraced it. We were clever and made some toasties to take out with us for lunch.
They have a pizza buffet which was reasonably priced but on the nights we stayed it was not on, instead there was a hostel dinner aimed at single travellers. There is also a kitchen but we didn’t use it but we had a peek and it looked very cool.
We invested in a Copenhagen card, it was such good value and we used it a lot . It includes all rail and bus travel. We went to and all included with the cost of the card:
Experamentarium: this is a must with kids! Such a good place. We took the train to Hellerup and then caught the bus 1A 2 stops ( could walk it too)
Planetarium: in central Copenhagen, really good
The round house
Rosenberg Castle
Natural history museum
The palm house
Ripleys /Hans Cristian Anderson
Copenhagen zoo
Boat trip
These trips would have cost us around £600 pound without the card, we paid £192 for a card for 3 days!
Copenhagen is a beautiful city, but very expensive to eat out, we had a lot of fast food to keep things a bit cheaper.

This hotel is very modern, clean and tidy, in a good easily accesible location @ 500metres from the station, but not at all suitable for a middle aged couple with a young child.
At first we were greeted with a cigarette smoking salute and had to climb through a fog of cigarette smoke in the doorway, I say climb as you have to drag suitcases up stairs to get in the door.
The check in desk was crowded as it doubles up as a bar it seems, so I opted for the automated screen.
The lifts are so small we could not get 2 cases and 3 people inside.
The stairwell resembled a multi storey car park stairwell.
The room was so small we had to shuffle around each other. There was nowhere to store family sized suitcases. There is nowhere to sit. (other than in the bed cupboard) The lockers provided are cupboards not lockers as unless you have a padlock they don't lock. A carry on bag would not fit inside!
The bed pods were built for skinny athletic people and the steps to the higher bunks are quite frankly dangerous (polished wood) The mattress is probably only 2 feet wide. The bed linen, although bright and fresh was like sleeping in a crumpled plastic bag, so noisey.
I am 6 feet and 15 stone, the bed was so narrow I kept banging my head.
The bathroom was well appointed but tiny.
The noise from other rooms was excessive and went on to the early hours, as did the heavy thumping music.
Wifi in the room kept dropping out.
The public areas were very large and well kept.
I would summarise by saying this is a great place to stay if you are 18-20 and intend to party all night and just need a crash pad. Don't waste your money if you are on a family vacation. It was cheap but not for me!
They dont refund so I lost my money.

I got here about 1030 am on my first day. When I asked where I could put my luggage before check in I was told that in the lower level there was some lockers that were operated by debit/credit card, as I did not have either of these I asked if there was an alternative ie if I could pay reception to store my luggage for the same price as the lockers. I was told this was not an option. So I had to waste almost 4 hours waiting for check in. Not a great start at all. Once I checked in I was given my room key card. This is where it picked up for me. The corridors felt like you was in a hotel. The rooms were small, but had everything you needed, a bed with light, shower, and toilet. The lock was broken on the shower room door, and the shower was bizarre as with the shower door closed the light went off every couple of minutes, but if you opened the shower door, (not the man door to the shower room) the light stayed on, but the floor would be completely soaked.
I tried the breakfast one morning for 49 dkk. I was very disappointed, as there was not much variety. You could make your own toasty, toast, cereal, and potato wedges (which had a message that said they were good for a hangover?). Based on my breakfast experience, I did not go for the pizza night in the evening.
I was very lucky and had some really nice, respectful room mates, and had some of the best nights sleep I have ever had in a Hostel here.
There are some nice big communal areas to socialise.
The staff let this place down for me, as they don't go the extra mile/find alternatives. They do not give you a welcome, some of them do not understand English. One staff member told me it would take me over 3 hours to walk to the little Mermaid (which was not true). One day I went to Reception and there was 4 members of staff huddled around 2 computers, and when I went to ask a question I was abruptly told to wait.
The location is great.

It took 20min from the airport via rail link to the next house ,it cost under £4 each , so the location is perfect. The double room was small, but warm and clean facilities were good. We had an ensuite shower and toilet, but I think some of the rooms used communal facilities. checkin and out was easy, lovely, chilled atmosphere. Free games such as chequers, chess, etc. keycards we're required for access to upper floors via lift, so security was good. We had breakfast, which was cheap and basic, we decided to eat elsewhere, but it was adequate if you were on a tight budget
