This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.

I do not usually rate hotels on TripAdvisor, even if I use the service regularly. However, the negative comments found here are so unfair to the superior quality of the hotel that I felt I should share my first-hand experience. The hotel has a very...More
First, the plusses: the decor in the hotel is beautiful, location is superb, staff is very friendly, courtyard is beautiful, breakfast was delicious, and the masks in the spa left my skin glowing in spite of the cold weather and plane travel. However, this is...More
Recently stayed here for a four day break in Copenhagen and loved it....booked a standard room, clean, cosy and well equipped, located on one of the main road sides but noise wasn’t an issue. This is a lovely quaint hotel if you’re looking for a...More
I love the idea of an Eco hotel, but I think this one has slightly missed the mark. I personally can only really enjoy the eco qualities if the hotel is clean. The bathroom was smelly and had black mould, the room was small, and...More

No, it’s a wonderful hotel. I too was very unsure about the mixed reviews. It’s a block away from the main train station so it’s very easy if you are coming to Copenhagen by train. The train station area in large cities is always a little seedy but I did not have any problems coming and going (as a single female traveler) on my own at all times of the day or night. However, if you do go left out of the hotel you do end up quickly in an area I didn’t feel comfortable in (hookers, drug dealing, and mentally unstable people hanging around) but I would not let that stop you staying here. You will spend all of your time going in the opposite direction so you won’t have to deal with this at all. As for the noise that people report. I specifically asked for a quite room and was give a room in their other building that was absolutely lovely and quiet. It didn’t have a view, but it was so peaceful (and I had the window open all night as it was so warm). The room also had a portable fan. The people who worked here were all warm and friendly. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
