The review is based on a two night stay at the hotel. Overall I have a good stay experience, but if I compare the Radisson Blue to similar class hotels I have stayed in, I would have liked a cleaner room and bathroom and better room and bathroom service for the price I paid.
I stayed at the Radisson Blu hotel in Copenhagen for 3 nights in February 2022. Beautiful hotel! Check-in was a breeze and I was up in my upgraded room on the 24th floor within minutes. Beautiful view of Copenhagen and the river from my room window. Room was very spacious with a good-sized bathroom as well. Very clean and all COVID protocols were followed. Large bar in the center of the lobby and 2 restaurants (Italian and Thai) available on site as well. Pros: Excellent customer service, cleanliness and room size for the money. Cons: very expensive food and drink on site. Bar drinks averaged $21-25 for a single drink and house wine was $16 a glass. Food was just as expensive averaging $35-40 for a couple of appetizers. I would like to caveat this though, by saying ALL of Copenhagen was expensive. So although I found these prices a bit exorbitant, most of Copenhagen restaurants and bars were just as expensive. The hotel was centrally located and was only a 5-minute walk to the nearest metro station which made getting around town very easy. Breakfast was included in my rate and was quite extensive including hot, cold, and special ordered items. Excellent food and service for breakfast as well! I would highly recommend this hotel!…
Very sad experience, i miss the old 90th experience when sas run the hotel. Bathroom where not clean , hair in the bathtub, and not very modern. Very bad service, asked for new shampo bottle( new bottle is not provided when they clean the room) asked for this in the reception, didnt received anything. Old and outdated rooms without aircondition. Not very serviceminded consiergeserivce. Not a four star hotel anymore, Radisson royal hotel i copenhagen i mutch better and have serviceminded staff.
Nice hotel in Copenhagen. Casino downstairs, ok breakfast and nice staff. Parking outside. Not immediately close to downtown but nice walk away from all the restaurant and bars etc direct busline to airport outside (5C)
I booked this because I booked late. I was a week here and a rather pained week. The hotel staff (not the cleaning staff whom I suspect are outsourced) are professional and try to make up. But it's the maintenance and upkeep that has fallen on its face. I had to change my room as my TV was not working. It's not a deal-breaker if it's one or two nights and for leisure. But for business, you need to keep up with the news so you do not sound ignorant when you meet. After I repacked and unpacked in another room, I found some lights not working. One of them was faulty because the light bulb was blown. During my entire stay, the light bulb was never replaced. I thought that light bulbs might be difficult to find but there is a Netto supermarket a 10-minute walk away that sells light bulbs. Breakfast never varied. The cake of the day varied just once during my entire week. To be fair, it's pretty hearty. But when it's the same everyday,... The cleaning staff, well it's an ironic label. My wife happened to be in the room doing her own work when the cleaning staff came. After emptying the trash and doing the bed (in that order) and replenishing supplies, he was about to walk away. My wife asked: aren't you going to clean the room. The response: clean? The staff are (present tense, in both senses) not well trained, which was why we suspect the oursourcing. Not once in the week were supplies fully replenished. Something or order would be missing. We had to call for towels, tea sachets, tissues. There is apparently no QC; cleaning standards were even lower on weekends. My wife was uncomfortable with how the bed was made after handling the trash. From then on, we did our own bed. If not for my wife insisting that day, our room would not have been vacuumed that entire week. If you have to stay there--like we had to because the hotel rates at the walking part of Copenhagen would give you sleepless nights--beware: check if the bulbs all work. If not, the budget for upkeep has been cut and you'd better do your own bed.…
The location is good and the concierge was good but the cleaning was awful! I stayed for a week and found they had no idea of cleaning at all. No attempt to vacuum or tidy up at all. The carpets in the coridor were filthy. Food that had fallen was not picked up even in the common areas. There were stains on the floor. The cleaning staff seemed untrained and rude. They cleaned it properly the one day that I specifically went and complained about the cleaning. The lobby looks decent but the rooms are basic and worn out.
Visited the hotel for three nights on a business trip. It was difficult to book a room, since their website was not working. Called Radisson Blu customer service, but they were not able to book a room either. But this was just the beginning. When arriving at the hotel at 5.30 PM with a group of five people, the rooms were not ready. Some people on the lobby had been waiting for their rooms for seven hours. The rooms were ready at 10 PM when arriving back to the hotel after dinner. When I finally got a room and went to toilet, the toilet seat fell of the wall! Called the reception, told them what happened and asked for a new room. I got no apologies or nobody asked if I got hurt. Not even reimbursement for wet and dirty clothes. Nothing. Finally someone came to bring me a key card to a new room and was just laughing "Oh you're the one who had an explosion!" and "You can laugh at this afterwards for many years!" Unbelievable, Very bad customer service. Every morning I woke up to a sound of drilling and hammering, and it continued until evening. I guess they were making some renovations (much needed!) but starting at early hours caused an awfully bad customer experience.…
Beds really hard and uncomfortable. Renovations somewhere nearby started 7 AM making it impossible to sleep, work or even talk on the phone in the room. Very old and wore down interior. I would recommend finding a different Hotel for your stay.
Don’t believe the marketing the Raddison Blu is a worn out 50 year old hotel with poor service . It’s badly equipped for the technology we use today. Slow wireless internet. The restaurant only suitable for breakfast. Dinner at their Filini restaurant is low quality and expensive. Why would you want to eat dinner in when there is such fabulous cuisine in Copenhagen. Almost impossible to get the room refreshed. Located to far from Copenhagen centre but convenient for trail running around lake . Nice view over city from the higher rooms. Three stars at best .
Not up to usual Radisson standards. No aircon! Horrific after running a marathon on a 18 degree day! Needs a bit of updating decoratively. TV limited and screen mirroring didnt work. Bathroom had weird drain smell. Coffee not replenished once despite housekeeping attending daily across a 4 day trip - had to keep going to reception to get more. I think some of the more modern hostel style of hotels would have actually been better.
