Myself and my family stayed at the Leivatho for 2 weeks in August. It was a stay that had been carried over from 2020 and was worth the wait. If you’re looking for a traditional Greek building with whitewashed walls, blue shutters and vibrant climbing flowers then this won’t be the hotel for you. But if you are looking for a beautifully designed modern hotel that embraces the landscape and manages to accentuate your beautiful surroundings then look no further. The location of the hotel is great for an easy trip from the airport and the hotel will arrange a taxi for you if necessary. We were welcomed with a cold freshly squeezed orange juice as our bags were taken to our room and sat by the pool taking in the lovely gardens and the fabulous pool. Our room (M6 - a family suite) was perfect. 2 rooms, large bathroom, kitchen area, small enclosed terrace to the rear and table and chairs in the small front garden area. The pool was a very pleasant place to spend time in. It was large enough to have a swim and fun in but not so vast that it took away from the lovely location. A small toddlers area also provided a great place for small children to play. Poolside service of drinks and snacks meant that it was a really easy and enjoyable place to be. The beach was a 4-5 minute walk away and made a nice change to the pool. Two tavernas are also at the edge of the beach providing variety for eating out. The hotel restaurant provided a nice choice of food which was always cooked to a high standard. A stand out meal was their bbq which only took place once during our stay - much to our disappointment! For a stay of more than 4 days or so you would probably want to hire a car to get around the rest of the island as public transport is limited. Again the hotel helped us to so this - as well as booking us a trip around a vineyard in Lixouri and helping to organise lateral flow tests on Argostoli. The staff were delightful and couldn’t have been more helpful. The service was pitched just right - attentive but not intrusive and always smiling. Maria the owner is a lovely woman who both during the stay and in the 18 months prior to it when we were emailing and rearranging things was simply great. I saw in other reviews that some people had said the breakfast was disappointing. I don’t really agree with that. There was lots of choice - hot options, Greek options and cold options (the stewed peaches and Greek yoghurt were delicious) - so I’m not sure what more they could have provided. The only negative was the breakfast wasps - but that wasn’t really something the hotel could control but did try to reduce with running fans and burning coffee granules. Thank you for a fabulous holiday. We will be back - many many times I’m sure.

We really enjoyed our stay here, we had a first floor room, it was large with a small kitchenette (it is more a place to make a salad or sandwich than to cook a meal) and a balcony with a sea view. There is lots of space to store your luggage and toiletries which adds comfort to your stay as you can spread your items out. The bed was lovely, comfortable and large. The room was spotlessly clean and it was cleaned every day. The hotel itself was dynamically part of the landscape and I particularly enjoyed the beautiful planting. The staff are so welcoming and are a highlight of the place. The cocktails at sunset on the upper roof terrace were a particular highlight. The breakfast was a weak spot with many wasps visiting (the staff do their best with strong fans and smoking charcoal) they are a pest all over the island and we did endure them at many other places. The food is good, I would have liked to order an omelette or have some different options each day, however the fruit is lovely and there is something to eat its just not fab. It was lovely to have the beach a short walk down the road, it is a lovely spot and there are 2 tavernas and a beach bar, so for the nights you are not off exploring it does make for a great location. We had a hire car to explore over the island and we found there was always parking either just in side the gates, at the back entrance or just outside the main gates.

We had a delightful week at this lovely hotel. The owner was always on hand and was very helpful & informative. The hotel organised for us to get a hire car for a few days which really added to our enjoyment. The pool was very good & had a nice area for children too. The restaurant served a tasty varied menu & we ate there for three evenings. On our other evenings we ate at the restaurants just 5 minutes walk away at the beach. The sandy beach was great & the sea superb. We loved our room which was a superior room. The bed was very comfortable and we had a nice little terrace. We felt the breakfasts could have a bit more varied fruit & maybe a way to have hot boiled eggs but this is a very minor detail. We had a really brilliant week & would have liked to stay longer.

Visited Leivatho Hotel with friends in September. The hotel is situated on a hill and the view is lovely. The design is very modern as well as the rooms. Beautifully done as well as the gardens. The staff very very kind and polite. Ready to answer all your questions. The owner is always there taking care of everything. The food in the restaurant of the hotel is excellent. Maybe the best dinner we had after visited a lot of tavernas in the area. Best choice ever!!! Thank you all for your kindness and excellent service. Maria-Cyprus

Eight of us stayed for a couple of nights pre sailing and returned for one night post sailing. What a great hotel! The modern eco design was stunning. The owner, who was so welcoming, runs a great team, Nikos her manager was very helpful. Rooms very comfortable and one room in particular (M9) very quirky with stunning views. Breakfast fresh and includes lots of locally produced products - honey most delicious and marmalade was home made. Only 10 minutes from airport, on a lovely beach with two restaurants and great beach bar. We’ll be back!
