We consider ourselves lucky to find a suite here. Everything was perfect : the room itself (large and charming, decorated with taste), the details (strong wifi, fresh juice for breakfast, quality products in the shower etc.. ), the location, the building (a beautiful venitian house renovated with taste) etc...
Special thanks to the staff, and especially Manos, who was particularly nice, accomodating and welcoming.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Moazzo in August. It's perfectly located, central but just outside of the more crowded parts of Rethymno's tourist areas. There are two lovely courtyards where you can eat breakfast or meet up with friends, and our room had a private balcony as well. The rooms have historic charm and also updated bathrooms and air conditioning. The staff are conscientious with COVID precautions, including limiting use of the indoor common space to one group at a time. It's a small hotel, with rooms opening directly to the outdoors, so it was easy to keep distance from other guests. The staff provided recommendations, beach towels, and anything else you might need, and were so warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed chatting with Anna and Manolis. We can't wait to return ourselves some day, and highly recommend.

This is a really lovely boutique hotel in the old town, within easy walking distance of everywhere. The staff were super-helpful, especially Manos, who worked the morning shift and not only served breakfast, recommended places to visit and printed out our COVID certificates but also arranged for our car to be collected from the car park outside the old town and bought to the hotel to save us having to pull our luggage half a mile.
The suites are arranged around two interior courtyards where breakfast is served and which offer a welcome respite from the bustle of the day. Our suite was large and well appointed with a second bed on a half-mezzanine floor. The bathroom had plenty of shelf space and the shower was excellent . The only negative was that the room was quite dark, looking out onto the narrow street, and the lighting in the room wasn’t great. But everything else was perfect .

Our stay at Casa Moazzo was a pure delight, from the warm, professional welcome we received to the lovely send off, from the friendly and welcoming owners.
Our rooms were exceptionally clean and well equipped with a safe, TV and air conditioning at no extra cost.
The location was absolutely superb, right in the heart of the old town, just a mere 2 minute stroll to numerous bars, restaurants and the scenic harbour.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at CM, very professional, polite and informative.
The breakfast was more than ample, eggs, toast, meats, cheeses and pies etc plus some lovely filter coffee.
All in all, I can not recommend this hotel enough, 5 stars all round.

This hotel was the highlight of our visit to Crete! It’s super clean, beautifully furnished, and has wonderful staff. Our room was very spacious with a big bathroom, very comfortable bed, and lovely soft lighting and furnishings that made it a pleasure to hang out in, especially when the weather turned inclement. It also has a small kitchenette with tea and coffee supplies and a small fridge.
The hotel has a couple of picturesque courtyards to sit outside and offers a lovely buffet breakfast. The location couldn’t be better for exploring the charming old town and waterfront of Rethymno.
The owner Anna was delightful and her staff of Eva, Angelica, and the rest of her team couldn’t have been more helpful.
We highly recommend this wonderful hotel!!!

We stayed in the end of May. This is a perfect place. Located in the old house that was completely modern with all amenities inside yet gave the old charm. Located in the middle of old pedestrian town center, Parking is 1 block away. Owners are very nice family that make you feel welcome. The restaurants the suggested were very good. They made us feel welcome and part of the town life. Walk to the beach is about 3-5 min and it is a pleasant walk. Beds were very comfortable, AC worked very well. Rooms had very think walls of the old building and are very quiet and provide good sleep. Our room had shower and separate bath tub all working in perfect condition.

Casa Moazzo is such a beautiful place to stay, and I highly recommend it. It was probably one of the best places I've ever stayed. There are 10 unique rooms, all spacious and well-decorated. I believe all rooms overlook one of two courtyards. We stayed in the Sirius room and the Orion room. Both were wonderful - spacious and well appointed. The showers were fantastic after a long day of being out and about in Rethymno. The location is perfect and the building is old and stunning.
What makes this hotel so special is the family who runs it. They couldn't do enough to help us. When we arrived on a 95 degree day, they immediately served as waters and some pastries. Manolis helped us throughout our stay with whatever we needed whether it was parking information, late checkout, and anything else he could help us with. Anna was a wonderful concierge and helped us plan our days. Eva arranged for us to get our required COVID PCR tests right at our hotel.
The breakfast was wonderful. Manolis would serve eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, fresh squeezed OJ, vegetables, cheeses etc etc and make our various coffee drinks. We didn't need to eat lunch because we ate such a full breakfast served to us at one of the beautiful courtyard tables set up with linen tablecloths. What a way to ease into the day.
A perfect stay! Hope to be back there again!

We had the most glorious time staying at Casa Moazzo. It is a beautiful apartment hotel with lovely sun filled courtyards where guests enjoy a very generous buffet breakfast. It is right in the heart of the old town which has so much to see and do. Our room was large and spacious and beautifully furnished, and kept immaculately clean. We particularly liked the lovely Korres toiletries! Best of all though, we had the warmest welcome from Anna, Eva and Angelica and the whole team who can’t do enough for their guests. The hotel is filled with their warmth and hospitality from morning to night, and they really made our holiday extra special. Thanks again from Edinburgh!

Casa Moazzo is located in the old town of Rethynmon. It is a grand residence which has been converted into a beautiful boutique hotel. On arrival we were accommodated in a modern apartment which was located a few metres down the side street on which the Casa is located. The apartment has every modern amenity you could wish for, a small balcony overlooked the street. We breakfasted (great selection) in the courtyard of the main building. The setting was truly beautiful. The building has been renovated to keep its traditional feel, while incorporating a ll modern necessities. We did not see the bedrooms in the main building, but I believe they have retained a traditional style, while totally modernised. The hotel is family owned and operated, and it is clear they love to make their guests very happy. All the family and staff were totally focused on great hospitality. Everyday, a friendly greeting and advice about entertainment options and the area generally. We could not fault a single aspect of this hotel, we hope to return, this was a holiday we will remember forever.

Travelling for work as well as pleasure, I have seen my fair share of highly rated hotels, but the Casa Moazza is by far the best of them all. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay there. The Venetian feeling of the place, the excellent breakfasts provided, the comfortable and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff, their willingness to go out of their way to be helpful (we took a tour that left before breakfast - the staff packed us one), its location in the heart of the Old City, all go to make it the perfect place to stay when visiting Rethymno. Excellent restaurants, shopping, museums, and artists' workshops, not to mention a foreshore promenade and the beach, ll are within easy walking distance. The only caution we would give is that if you're driving, be sure to ask the staff for help with parking and unloading your luggage since most vehicles are prohibited in the Old City. Rethymno was one of the most interesting trips we have ever taken, but the Casa Moazza made it a uniquely enjoyable one.
