This was by far the hotel with the best service and care that my family and I experienced ever. From the manager leaving a list of the best Greek wines on our room, to the cleaning ladies always leaving a ‘towel artistic surprise’ every day, and the amazing restaurant service and food. The rooms combine comfort and design. We stayed in a suite with an enormous balcony and jacuzzi overlooking the sea. The restaurant has amazing food (and service) I personally recommend the lamb shank and the Cuvee III 2021 for wine. This hotel is a 5* and I strongly recommend for anyone staying in Crete.

This hotel is designed with a lot of attention to detail, from the modern decor to the amenities provided.
We stayed for one night as a treat and booked the room with an outdoor hot tub, the room had been meticulously cleaned before our arrival (very necessary during Covid-19) and it was a BEAUTIFUL room.
Whilst we waited for our room, we sat on the hotels private beach area and ate a delicious lunch (I highly recommend the chicken bao baps).
The staff are all so lovely and friendly & ready to help with any issues. It’s a great location, a short walk or taxi to the old Rethymno town and there are some great restaurants near by.
We enjoyed the sunset from our enormous balcony and it was stunning.
To finish off a great stay, the breakfast was DELICIOUS. They have a wide variety (with great options for the health conscious as well).
I would highly recommend this hotel and I will be returning again soon. ✨🧿

Awesome! Super professional management. Returned emails and messages promptly. Every hotel should be so blessed to have such great employees. They are nice, helpful and always have a smile on their faces (be sure to tip them, they deserve it and work hard). It’s a design concept boutique hotel and every room has an ocean view. We are a family of 4. Our kids (18 & 21) still like to vacation with us, so a room with a large balcony gave us extra space. They are doing a great job with cleanliness and hygiene, having just reopening. Breakfast is phenomenal. Very good food; homemade jam, Greek yogurt and plenty of other items. I am American and love pancakes (that I don’t have to cook ;) and their chef makes them perfectly! The beach front bar is run really well. The staff works so hard there, in the heat, and maintain their kindness and helpfulness (even offering me their personal sunblock while I waited for my husband was taking a while getting out beach gear to the beach) If I could suggest any changes it would be: 1) add a mattress topper for some extra foam padding 2) rake the beach at the end of the day. .so many people were bad about tossing cigarette butts and straw wrappers.

The decor is very modern, not what I was expecting at all. I got a deal from Expedia for 40% off, but I’m not sure if I would pay the full price for what it is. The location is great because it’s on a beach/on the boardwalk (across the street) but we rented a car instead to travel around Crete so we haven’t really had a chance to explore this area. The food is amazing!! They really step it up with little services of hospitality. We haven’t wanted to leave because we have a tub and can get everything through room service. The prices of the food are pretty good for what you get, tasty and decent portions. Overall I would recommend this place to stay as there’s many things to see especially if you can rent a car.

Alexandra and her team at Dyos Suites were so helpful and friendly from the beginning, offering us a welcome drink and advice on what to see while in Rethymno. The room was so clean and housekeeping folded our towels into cute shapes each day. We stayed in the Executive Suite with an outdoor jacuzzi, which was so romantic and relaxing to enjoy after a day of exploring. Right across from the beach, we woke up each morning to the sound of waves and a beautiful view. The beach itself was very nice with a waiter taking care of you and cleaning off the lounge chairs after each guest leaves.
The hotel is far enough away from the city center to avoid the loud hustle and bustle, but close enough to easily walk in for lunch or dinner. Such an incredible experience from start to finish here!

The room was a bit unusual in that there was no separate bathroom with a mirror...But the overall feel was great and the location is perfect. They were incredibly nice. We had early departure and they prepared food for us since we were going to miss the breakfast. They have umbrellas and high quality chairs on the beach with excellent beachside service. DYO suites completely exceeded all our expectations. We were in Rethymno for our wedding with our five month old baby and the staff went out of their way to assist us whenever they could. For example, we arrived at midnight and one of the staff arranged take away food to be delivered to our room at 12:30am. It was these little things which made a big difference to our stay.
The rooms are completely gorgeous - very modern with beautiful views. The location is perfect, a 15 minute stroll along the beach to Old town and behind a gorgeous beach which has bean bags/deck chairs for exclusive use of the guests.
The restaurant and food at breakfast was also divine.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others.

We stayed three nights at Dyo Suite - our room is very spacious with a super-king bed, living room, Jacuzzi and balcony. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and you can choose to have it in the restaurant or in your room. Staff was helpful and hospitable. Dyo Suite is just 5 seconds away from the beach and hotel guests can have sunbeds and umbrellas for free. Would love to go back for sure!

First of all, I’d like to start positive with how lovely the staff are at dyo suites, very smiley, welcoming and helpful. Our overall stay was pleasurable, but there were a few things that made it not quite 5* for us.
We stayed in a superior suite with indoor jacuzzi room. Our room was very modern, lovely size… but was abit too technical with the lighting options, aircon etc…if you aren’t tech savvy you may struggle with this. Lighting was quite poor in bathroom area, especially in the toilet! The shower also went between hot and cold and would not stay at the same temp.
The main bug bare for me was that there was no full length mirror in the room… only the circular face mirror in the bathroom.
Breakfast was lovely every morning, presentation was 10/10, very quick service also… however more variety would be good as it was mostly eggs/omelettes.
The location was nice… beach was lovely. It took us about 20-30 minutes walk to and from the old town.
Apart from the two minor things stated above we did enjoy our stay at dyo suites, and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about booking a holiday in rethymno.

Had an amazing time at DYO suites. Looked even better in real life than in the pictures. Literally only five meters to the beach, ocean views, super friendly staff, delicious food and excellent service paired with sleek, puristic and stylish interior designs made this a perfect Greek getaway.
