For our first trip to Crete we stayed at the Arkadi while in the Chania area. From the outside it is nothing special but the location and service were the best. Very close to the Venetian Harbor and Old Town. Close but not too close is the best and this location was perfect. The

Though the hotel is in the heart of the city center, has great room accommodations, and good breakfast the service we received upon arrival was greatly displeasing. We were shouted at for not knowing how to get to our room and threatened to have our room taken away entirely.

No wonder why noise comes clearly from the hallway.
Is your hotel and surroundings ok for soemone with walking problems? and are you near beaches?
Hi the hotel is on flat stretch at the top of a little hill. Beaches are not very close. Probably about 15 minutes walking fast to a beach. Chania by the hotel has some wide pedestrian streets that are pretty smooth. The main streets where cars go is busy. It would be a short taxi ride if that is an option. I hope this helps! Safe traveling Will morrison 😎
