I stayed here for 3 nights in September. The place, and staff, completely met and mostly exceeded my expectations. This charming boutique hotel in arguably the absolute best spot in Chania (right on the Venetian Port waterfront) is impeccably fitted out inside, with a seamless mix of modern facilities embedded within an ornate and characterful historic town house. The quality of the interior is exceptional. My room faced the port so the view from my window was priceless. And the mezzanine level in the room added an unusual and quirky additional room/space.

The breakfast each morning was also exceptional, plenty of food if you wanted to stuff yourself, but the emphasis was clearly on quality and finesse. The courtyard is a lovely space to calmly start your day with such a breakfast.

Lastly the staff, those I dealt with were the front of house ladies Kyriaki, Elena and Evengelica, all are superb...extra helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. I loved walking out the front door to the view of the harbour every time, but equally I looked forward to walking back in the door into the hotel each time, it was a very welcoming and homely place to stay.

I will certainly stay here again when in Chania. Simply perfect in terms of a boutique hotel in a superb location.

Thank you again Domus Renier team :)
Chris

Domus Renier was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and a wonderful beginning to our honeymoon, we stayed two nights.
The hotel is set on the harbour front, our taxi driver dropped us at drop-off point and we walked the short walk down. On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who took all our details and showed us our room. We had received a complimentary upgrade and I was delighted to see the outdoor jacuzzi tub.
I read that the owner travels to hotels around the world and takes best features back to hotel which is v evident. The room is standard side but very clean and comfortable. I like the card key slot for the room you could press a light to say if wanted room cleaned or not to be disturbed.
The view from the front of the hotel of the harbour is stunning and we enjoyed sitting out for drinks and nibbles.
We had breakfast on the outdoor terrace and received a tiered selection of breads, pastries and drinks. There is a breakfast menu to choose from and I recommend the croque madame. I was very puzzled by the cornflakes as we received about 5 flakes and half a litre of milk!
Thank you for a most enjoyable stay, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The Domus Renier Boutique Hotel is an admirable combination of style, luxury, comfort, and location. We had the master suite for 3 nights, which is well-suited for two couples. The bedrooms are on separate levels in spacious quarters. A private outdoor balcony with seating at a long snack and beverage bar provides a lofty view of the harbor as well as the bustling day and nightlife below.

Start the day with a breakfast of authentic and flavorful Greek cuisine. The attentive staff supplied bags and beach towels for our day excursions. A day of sightseeing, beach time and shopping concludes with a stroll through Zepos, the hotel’s restaurant, in order to return to the room—perfect opportunity to place an order for refreshments or make a reservation. Litza, the owner, greets guests at every opportunity to assure the experience meets their expectations. One appreciates that the tourism sector is recovering from the disruption of COVID-19. Their resilience is exhilarating.

Take some time to appreciate the decor and furnishings. The glass display along the stairs features items that are for sale. It’s a safe bet you will find something for yourself or others.

The Domus Renier deserves the high ratings it has received from other guests. Accordingly, I enthusiastically recommend the property to those considering it for a future stay.

We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite for a wonderful week of relaxation. The hotel has a great location overlooking the harbour and the internal balcony within our suite provides a fantastic viewing platform to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Chania.
What really makes this hotel stand out is the quality of the service. From the very first welcome to the final farewell we were made to feel thoroughly spoilt and at home.
Many thanks to all of the team that took care to look after us so well and for whom nothing was to much trouble

We travelled to the Domus Renier hotel at the end of August for two nights. We decided to stay in Chania town before travelling up the coast. I am delighted that we got to experience the best of Chania. This hotel is fantastic. It is right on the Marina location location. Although it is right on the Marina the rooms are soundproof very quite and peaceful. We had a beautiful suite with an upstairs and downstairs. It had everything you needed even down to dressing gowns and slippers. The TV was very handy in the evening with Netflix on it if you wanted to chill out as the bars close in Chania at the moment at 12 at night. The staff were amazing in this hotel. They could not have been more helpful and kind. Although we were only there two nights they took such good care of us. The breakfast is delicious. Everything you need with a lovely menu to choose from. Due to social distancing you book your Breakfast time in advance which suited us fine. The breakfast stays open until 11.30 which is very handy also. I will definitely be returning and I am looking forward to it. Thank you Domus Renier for a lovely stay.

"When you have to make decisions, let happiness be your guide" This was written on a note left in our room during our stay at the Domus Renier Boutique Hotel in Chania, Greece. I am not going to talk about the perfect location, how beautiful the hotel is, or about the amazing architecture, the view from our room or the delicious breakfast. What I want to talk is about the staff. We travel a lot to many different places in the world and I can say they were the best, making our stay a perfect one. From the warm welcome e-mail confirming our reservation to last minute when we left the hotel, the staff was perfect. And the little notes left everyday in our room...one of them saying "Hospitality is an opportunity to show love and care". Yes, for sure you've accomplished your goal. Domus Renier is now on the top of our hotel list. If you are going to Chania, "let happiness be your guide",you will not regret it.

I stayed at a few hotels during my visit in Chania. This hotel was the only unsatisfied one among all. Weird no one ever mentioned things below.

1. There were flies/bug in our room and even flied to our bed. We informed the front desk and she advised to use insecticide to spay our room but we declined it.

2. We had the suite on the first floor which located right above the restaurant/bar. The description of this room on the hotel website was suite with loft and sea view. We didn't expect that the room actually is first facing a restaurant and the water behind. We could still heard their musics and bass sounds till late night. There was a sofa and reading desk upstairs in the loft. But it was too dark to read even in the daytime with the light switched on. So literally we didn't go upstairs as nothing we could do upstairs. This suite was also on the same floor of front desk and breakfast room.

3. Have traveled a lot and been stayed many hotels of 3-5 stars under hot/cold weather. Not a single hotel that the bed didn't come with duvets. When we were about to sleep we found that there was no duvet under the bed runner. Then we gave feedback, the receptionist said "the housekeeping forgot to put the duvet in you room" another staff said "we don't provide duvets. if you don't switch on the air-con. You are good. You don't need it. Just use the bed runner" I was speechless. I thought I stayed at a 4-5 star hotel.

4. The most ungenerous breakfast we ever had in a hotel. You had to pay if you wanna refill anything. Only one coffee and a half glass of orange juice and you get some bread. Then only one main was included and the portion was small (definitely not Greek size).

I don't recommend this hotel as there are plenty of very good options nearby.

We finally got back to Crete and got to rebook our room 2 years later at Domus Renier and it was worth the wait! The only downside of this hotel and I think most of the hotels in this location was parking. Allow yourself plenty of time an patience if you are driving and I don't advise arriving at night.
Once we got parked and showed to our room all of our worries melted away. We decided to splurge on the 2 bedroom with the rooftop outdoor space and it was amazing!
We also asked the hotel for dinner recommendations and we were not very happy we did. They made reservations for us and took care of everything. When we went to a beach one day they provided towels, they just had the attitude of whatever needed, they were there to help us.
The hotel was amazing but the service made it perfect. We would love to visit again and I highly recommend staying at the Domus Renier, you won't be disappointed.

We enjoyed everything about our stay! The location on the harbor was perfect for our needs.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a view of the harbor and a well organized bath. The bed was comfortable, with nice linens.

The al a carte breakfast was served on the terrace by a lovely lady who was efficient and attentive.

But what we really liked was the staff. They helped me even before I arrived with restaurant reservations. Upon arrival they handled bags and got us to convenient parking. They made good recommendations regarding places to see and what to do.

We paid a lot more for some hotels in Greece, but we never had better service.

If you are a frequent traveler to Europe, you know that booking a small luxury hotel does not guarantee you will indeed enjoy a memorable stay. The concept of luxury is used rather loosely throughout the continent by smaller properties eager to lure unsuspecting guests. But Domus Reinier was one of those exceptions. We had a delightful four night stay in Chania! We stayed at their most upscale suite, which comfortably accommodated the four of us. The staff was extremely polite and above all, incredibly attentive to details. We has a minor inconvenience upon arrival, which was promptly attended to by the owner of the property herself. Breakfast service was a la carte, allowing for a much more personalized experience than the usual buffets which I abhor. The breakfast menu included craftily presented Greek culinary options sure to delight anyone’s palate.
Highly recommendable property.
