This was a very welcome luxurious break - first trip since Covid. The food (particularly breakfast, sushi and Fish Restaurant was fabulous. The staff all go the extra mile, particularly in the all day bar. Rooms were OK but bungalow is a misleading description for what they are. Overall a great holiday and we have booked again for this year!
We stayed in Mitsis Laguna in the first two weeks of June. We had an amazing family holiday. The customer care was amazing, the staff is very friendly. They are always very helpful and attentive. We had a couple of small issues, but I am not going even to highlight them as all the problems were solved efficiently and quickly. Highly recommend this hotel. We also want to say hello to Yannis who is taking care of the main buffet, Michael who’s working as barista at the pool bar (he is making amazing frappe), Alexandros who is from the front desk reception, also girls from Champagne bar and a barmen who’s making an amazing “Basil smash” and Ewelina from the kids club. I was very impressed on arriving at the hotel - what a splendid reception area. Check in was okay, quite a queue and the welcome drink arrived eventually. We were escorted to our rooms and the bell boys were quite miffed when there was no tip forthcoming because as Brits we had no spare change at that time. Our 2 bed garden view bungalows were actually hotel rooms not bungalows in the main hotel on the 2nd floor with a few of the car park - very disappointing. Weather was quite cool and very windy for the first three days, you needed a sweater pool side and the pool water was positively icy. We ate at all a la carte restaurants, which we had booked in advance. The service was mediocre at best with the exception of the fish restaurant, which was superb. The food was okay but we decided to cancel 2 of our dinner bookings as it wasn’t an overly enjoyable experience and ate out. The best service we received was poolside and the all night bar. The staff worked so hard, were polite and engaging. Breakfast at the buffet was okay but it was pot luck with the staff, some were so grumpy. We also ate at the Asian Brunch which was again okay and the staff there were lovely but quite often a request was not addressed. Overall the hotel is okay but definitely poor value for money, the food tended to be cold and whilst the staff worked hard many of them were inattentive. The pool was freezing cold and the sea inaccessible due to the jagged rocks. You also needed to be up early to get a sun bed - as these were in high demand and many spent the day covered in towel but remain unoccupied. The biggest annoyance was the guests who monopolised staff, posing for photos and generally taking up a lot of their time. I can only assume that they either tip well or are returning guests - either way it’s to the detriment to the other guests’. It was okay but I certainly wouldn’t return.…
We were at the hotel as a family, it was wonderful: beautiful pools, nice buildings in a Greek style (resembling a small greek village), friendly staff, excellent meals, great location directly on the sea, large reception area with beautiful indoor architecture,. Except perhaps that some devices in the bathrooms should be repaired, everythink was perfect. 100% recommendation!
Thank you to Yiannis and his Team for the great service! They were very nicht also to the children and helpful. Humanity on a high level. Also the Mini Disco was nice, I would have appreciated more activities for children during the day. All in all it was great and we will go there again!
