InPátio Guest House is located in the Ribeira quarter, classified as Unesco world heritage and heart of Porto's historic center. In a fully recovered building dating from the late 19th century, we focus on simplicity and comfort to provide you with a friendly atmosphere.Every room has its own design, inspired in Porto’s traditional construction and adornment materials. Facilities include private bathroom with underfloor heating and towel dryer, air conditioning, minibar, safety box and TV, as well as free WiFi and cable internet. In fine weather you can enjoy our unique breakfast, in the Pátio. From there, in a short walk, you can visit some of our major places of interest: Porto’s Cathedral (Sé), Torre dos Clérigos, Luiz I bridge, Palácio da Bolsa or the port wine cellars. Alfandega’s museum and congress center, and S. Bento’s train and metro stations are also within a 5 min. walk. We’ll be happy to provide any assistance you may need during your stay (airport transfer, ticket or restaurant booking, car or bicycle rental, whatever), and invite you to (re)discover Porto from a characteristic and picturesque courtyard of the old town.

If in Porto, you MUST STAY HERE! Fernando and Olga are amazing. The location can't be beat. Walking distance to everything. Best of all is the service provided by Fernando and Olga. The breakfast is wonderful. Full of fresh bread, local cheeses, jams, meats, and great coffee. Olga took the time every morning to describe the local delicacies with such pride. We had early guides meeting us two mornings, and they offered us early breakfast. So nice! Returning from activities each day was a surprise One day we had 2 glasses of wonderful Port Wine in our room, the next we had wonderful pastries. You CAN'T get this level of service from a big hotel. Muito Obrigado Fernando y Olga! Ate Breve!

We booked our stay at In Patio GH to cap off the last four days of a tour of Portugal. This stop was one of our favorites for the entire trip. Centrally located for a visit to Porto and anything you wanted to visit there, but also a quiet respite from the hectic pace of a tour. Fernando and Olga are very welcoming and gracious. They have created an incredible small hotel out of the rubble of a building that had been abandoned and in very poor shape. Their vision and hard work made In Patio GH a very special place to stay. Every morning Olga would bring to our table a wonderful display of cheeses and deli meats from different regions of Portugal. She would describe each and tell us about the Happy Cows in the Azores that produced the milk for the butter and yogurt she was serving. And don't forget Fernando's cappuccinos, yum! Louise and I can't recommend the In Patio GH enough!

We had a fantastic visit. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious with new items every day and a superb explanation of each local gostronomic delight. I particularly enjoyed that each afternoon when we returned from our walks around the city we found a new treat had been left for us beside the bed: one day a cake, another a biscuit, and on the last day a glass of port and a chocolate. Wonderful. In addition, Fernando was incredibly helpful and informative.

We caught the fast pendular train out of Santa Apolania station, I think it stopped at Oriente as well. Great journey good value but must be pre booked. On arrival at Campanha station in Porto you just need to change platforms and catch the local train into Sao Bento, they run every 10 minutes or so and your ticket will cover this as well. The walk down hill to In Patio takes less than 10 minutes. Enjoy we loved it.

Is there parking available? Do they take pets?
Hi, I don't think that there is parking available as I don't remember room for it but location is close to everything, Ribeira - the bank of river Duoro with all restaurants and entertainment is less that block away, the bridge to cross the river is close too and all wineries with tours and wine tasting are very close. The city is walk able amd also has good puclic transportation - Metro, buses and historic trams. Do not know about pets you could contact Olga or Fernando at Info@inpatio.pt. I hope I was helpful. Thank you.

We are planning to take the bus from Lisbon to Porto. How far is this hotel from the local bus station?
Hi! It should take you 10-15 minutes to get here. You should pass Batalha square, go all the way down 31 de Janeiro street, and then down Mouzinho da Silveira. Regards, Fernando
