I was travelling with a group and we stayed at the Moov for several nights including one on my own. I felt quite safe there. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There was a lovely common room on the first floor which provided a great place to meet friends and socialize. Hotel is basic but provided all necessary amenities. Rooms are a little small when two people are in a twin share, storage space limited, however fine as a single.
Location was wonderful as we were able to walk most places and metro allowed easy access to and from airport. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed a few nights in this budget hotel in Porto overlooking the picturesque 18th century church of Ildefonso. The hotel has an attractive frontage and we were welcomed on arrival by an efficient young man on the reception desk. Our room was clean and comfortable and well serviced by housekeeping. An added bonus is the provision of a water dispenser on each floor and bottles in the room. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as there are many local eateries nearby. Would have no problem recommending this hotel if you are in Porto as it is excellent value for the money.

I am very picky with hotels so struggle to find something I like on a budget. I really enjoyed this one.
Perfect location - you can walk everywhere. However, if you arrive at Sao Bento station, it will be purely uphill! To the point that if you have a large suitcase it is basically going to be impossible. If you arrive from the airport, take the Metro to Bolhao - it will then be a bit uphill but not nearly as much as from Sao Bento.
It is very close to the main shopping street (Santa Catarina). I walked everywhere within about 10 minutes other than the river which takes a bit longer. But I did not need any public transportation or Uber during my stay.
One of the best things was having a water dispenser on each floor - so nice to not have to buy water bottles all the time.
I did not find the front desk staff particularly helpful. The only time I asked a question (if any of the river tours are better than the ones whose reviews mention long lines and disorganization). The woman just kind of shrugged and said that's just how it is. I find that a bit hard to believe or maybe she could have lent me a little more guidance.
I did not have the breakfast but I saw it and it looked pretty extensive.
I was able to sleep with the window open and it was super quiet (my room faced inwards and not onto the street where I imagine it would be noisier).
The shower was large and powerful. The only toiletries provided were hand soap and a combination shower gel/ shampoo. I didn't think the hair dryer was great so glad to have brought my own.
Overall this is a very solid choice in Porto for the combination of price, location, and quality.

Moov Hotel Centro is the best 2 star ever!! Get off at the Bolhao metro stop and walk the flat Rua Caterina street (700 meters away) to Moov. Avoid the hill from Sao Bento in other words. The staff is amazing, speak numerous languages, the hotel is scrubbed all the time and smells like fresh soap! The rooms and bathrooms expertly attended to, the TV's nice sized, a safe provided, and coffee machines around hotel for .60 E coffees/teas! The breakfast now has a pancake machine and always fresh breads, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit etc for breakfast. We each got a glass MOOV Hotel water bottle in our rooms (I bring study abroad students here from the Georgia, USA) and there are water purifying machines on each floor to rehydrate after exploring Porto. Batalha neighborhood is up and coming and surrounded by restaurants such as Lado B and Cafe Santiago. Thank you Moov!! See you next year.

Very central to most attractions (Porto Cathedral, Sao Bento Station etc). Rooms are extremely clean and spacious and come with USB sockets which is an added bonus. Each floor has a filtered water station and glass bottles are provided. From reading previous reviews , I had no issues getting to the hotel via Uber. Uber’s were able to stop right outside the hotel and had no issues getting into the road. Weighing scales are also provided in the reception area for a few euros. Used Uber to get around the city as these were extremely cheap (3-5 euros). Would definitely recommend this hotel to solo travellers, couples or families.

Highly recommended. Dustless, pristine, spotlessly clean. Interior we'll designed to be easily kept clean. No carpeting, hooray! Desk staffed 24/7. Extremely helpful and multilingual staff. Rooms with en suite bathroom have client-controlled climate control that is fairly quiet. Liquid soap (scented) provided at sink and shower. Each floor has a free water bottle filler. Good location just outside the Old Town neighborhood. Great people watching, small eateries, and walking. Don't miss it!

The location enables you to walk everywhere, since it's very central and this was really nice. The service and the rooms were normal, breakfast was diverse and full of sweets, which we liked. The interior is very modern and new, it was very clean.

This hotel is very central. There are a bunch of cafes in the Square right in front and you can walk anywhere from this location. The rooms are very clean and very soundproof. I want to rate this hotel higher and say that we had an amazing experience but unfortunately there is one issue that made our stay incredibly uncomfortable.
We were in Porto in mid-October. The weather is incredibly up and down there but most days it was still about 16 to 20 degrees out. The air conditioning had been shut down as it was now "cold outside." It may not have been terribly hot outside by Portugal standards, but the room was incredibly warm and stuffy. So while we initially thought we had the option of controlling heating or cooling in our room, only the heat was working. There was no option to just have room temperature air circulating. There was one window that opened about four inches, but there was no air coming in (as there was no cross-current of air). We quickly learned that we could not shower at night as the humidity just stayed in the room. We lost several nights of sleep just being too hot. I asked at the front desk if they had a fan available, but they did not.
I don't like to complain. As I said, if it wasn't for the temperature (or even just lack of air circulation) I would have said this hotel was flawless.

We paid about £52 per night and this is a great hotel at that price. Check-in is available from 2pm which is earlier than most places and the friendly reception desk staff gave us our rooms even sooner.
Rooms are fairly basic with small towels, small pillows and basic shower gel but the shower is excellent and the rooms are perfectly clean with daily housekeeping. Cold drinking water is available near the lifts.
Really good hotel for a short stay.

Location: Perfect! Close to City Center (the shopping area)
We stayed there 2 nights and extended 1 extra night.
Very simple or minimalist hotel, just sleep and go. The hotel has a distilled water machine on every floor and provide a glass bottle for all the guest to refill their water.
As a tourist, I think the location is number 1 and the price is reasonable.

Walk out in the direction to Via Catarina.... turn right and walk all the way to praça da Batalha. There you will se the hotel
there is a parking but we did not use it. i think that you do not need a car in porto. but if you want you will find other parking station near the hotel.
