I made the mistake of booking the Camanile for 2 nights for a business trip. As is so often the case the choice of places to stay in Lison is always difficult with so little available accommodation in the area. I selected purely based on its proximity to the office I was visiting. I am not a fussy person, and a good bed and clean room is all I ask, but I have to say the experience was a shocker. Unfortunately, the room stank of stale cigarette smoke, to the point it made me feel quite ill. I complained to reception but was told that a) there were no more rooms and b) what can you do, people break the rules! - all said in the nicest possible way. The bed itself was comfortable, and despite the bath only being about 4 foot long, the bathroom was adequate. Then we come to breakfast, which as continental breakfasts go was mediocre, but then what do you expect for 6 Euros. However the coffee was absolutely awful, in fact I would go as far as to say it is the worst coffee I have ever tasted. For some reason it tasted of oxtail soup. I guess for the price what did I expect, but seriously, if people cant obey the no smoking policy then fit some smoke detectors and clamp down on it. Also spend some time and effort fumigating the rooms to make them habitable for non smokers. Staff were all very friendly though.... but that's about it.

This place was truly wonderful! The moment we got there we felt a welcoming warmth! The staff was one of a kind, best we've come across in a while. There is lots of free parking and the rooms were nice too, nothing outstanding though. Would definitely stay here again!

The accomodation was very basic, in the room was not too much more than beds and narrow table under window. The price was not too high, but still higher than proper holiday resort apartment in Lagos. Algarve where were heading. So, just for 1 night, while being on road, it was OK. But definitely do not plan any longer stay! Staff was nice and helpful. And it was clean as well,

Basic hotel, small room but fair vs the price they charge. People were friendly allthough not SUPERfriendly...more (again) 'basic'. Perfect if all you'll be there for is sleeping while roadtripping. For a longer stay, I'd recommend to pay +\- 8€ more and go for the Ibis though..

Pleasant staff good location however we woke up in the morning after a late tired arrival realising our room was completely infested with ants. There were hundreds and thousands of them in the bedroom and in the bathroom. We were in a large group and others experienced similar but nowhere near my room. I've uploaded photo proof. Breakfast was fine and wifi everywhere. Also everyone experienced that the rooms were very very cold and the heating did not work

Based on reviews from other travelers, I was very nervous when my husband booked this hotel for our 12 hour stay before an early flight. This is a French hotel chain; The hotel clerk speaks multiple languages. the room I was very clean with a large bed, amenities coffeemaker biscuits, refrigerator, hair dryer, tv and telephone in the room, Parking right outside our room door. Because we left so early we did not try the breakfast. The drive was about 20 minutes to the airport. Only frustration was a weak signal for wifi as we were at the end of the building but signal was great when sitting in large reception area.

We stayed for 4 nights in September 2011. The hotel gives you exactly what you expect for the price - small room, but clean and fresh enough. The position is excellent right at highway to Lisbon (yet very calm place) and close to downtown and wonderful beaches. The staff is very helpful, speaks good English. Free wifi and parking.

We stayed here just for one night, so that we can rest from a long trip. We booked a couples room specifically, and there they wanted to give us a double bed room... when I complain they trade the room, but it was for smokers, so the smell was awful and I would prefer the double bed if I knew, but I was so tired, I did not want to go back to the reception and complain again. The only person in the staff was not nice. The room was not perfectly clean and the smell was terrible (smoking room). It has some snacks to eat, that was good, and the outside of the hotel was also nice. overall, I do not recommend this average hotel

We stayed here in early August. The Air Con DID NOT work at all during the time we stayed here, and the room was like a suana! The staff changed every day, so no one took any action to fix the air con. Other guests had asked to move rooms, but the air con still didnt work. Breakfast was very minimal, and basic.
