We stayed here for 10 days and had a great time - staff helpful, room clean and very spacious, breakfast brilliant. Location excellent near train station and beach. Really don’t know what people expect from a hotel - we were nearly put off by reviews but decided to give this a go and glad we did
We stayed here one night and after reading all the mixed reviews we were a bit worried but the hotel is really really nice. Very modern, nice design & interior, spacious rooms, good Wi-FI & a very good breakfast with eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, a lot of fresh tropical fruits (mango, papaya, pineapple, kiwi melon etc). Friendly staff. Clean! Good location. Highly recommended!
We were so disappointed with this hotel- hardly any facilities, very poor breakfast, apathetic staff who really couldn't be bothered. the hotel was ok in some places but dead pot plants everywhere made it look uncared for. The annex was ok with good cleaning staff but that was about it for comfort. There is no bar, a restaurant ONLY for breakfast which was only serviced once by staff during breakfast time so that the hot food was congealed and luke warm. There is no-where to get a drink or a snack so you have to do it all yourself....
For 1 night we paid 140€ thinking that we would get a super nice and fresh installations but that's precisely what we didn't get. The room was wore down, not very properly clean with visible hair in several places, the sink was half clogged... The problems started when we got to the address of the hotel but there was no sign of it existing. No name of the hotel, no sign pointing any direction, no flags or anything that induced the existence of anything else than residential buildings. Eventually we discovered that the hotel was up in a entrance because we saw taxis going in and out and understood that something had to be going on there. After getting there we were asked to pay first thing and then sent to our room in another building. On the next day we decided to go explore the hotel facilities, which turned out to be much worse in reality than in the fancy pictures posted online. The pool was poorly maintained, the grass was all dead... This stay was a dissapointment from start to end. I would be satisfied with what I got if this was a budget hotel but as an expensive 4 star hotel it's unacceptable.…
We stayed for three nights in the Amazonia Estoril. It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. However it could do with some money being spent on it to bring it up The the boutique standards it has designs on. A little tired in places. However it was clean and was well located and good value for money. Plus a very good breakfast is included. As a three star hotel fine, don't be misled by the 4th star!
"Choose sea view room -choose rooms located in reception building - separate building was poorly maintained."Read full review
"Be careful of yr room, the door at reception slams when guests come in late and wake everyone, heard other guests grizzling at breakfast."Read full review
"Although adequate, don't get a room on the ground floor. Sea view rooms, in the main building, will cost about 25 euros a day extra."Read full review
