We spend 4 days at the Quinta da Marinha to play some golf. The rooms are standard, not very big but sufficient. Bathrooms as standard in international hotels. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, same with the waitors at breakfast. The breakfast itself was ok, nothing special but good international standard. At the bar though you needed to be very patient. Took very long for someone to take orders and very often these were not correctly noted. Overall a recommendation. The golf course is a bit tricky if you don't know the layout, second round was great fun
We stayed at the hotel for a week end of March enjoying a golf trip organized by our golf club. Let me start of big complements to the staff. They are all super-friendly, extremely nice and helpful. You really feel welcome and an appreciated guest. Rooms are relatively small but well equipped and clean. What is, however, hardly acceptable is quality of food. Predominantly cold - due to not properly/ or not at all working heaters under the buffet displays or, simply a negligence or lack of experience with the devices. Food was always almost the same, boring and low quality. Apart of paying for half board almost every evening we opted out of cold buffet (that was supposed to serve hot- dishes) and enjoyed awesome local food in nearby restaurants.
Quinta de Marinha is a modern, golf resort located outside of the city center. It is a perfect place to relax, enjoy the pool or play golf. It is a short drive to the center of Cascais. The resort has two restaurants inside the hotel and one in the city center to which a free of charge shuttle is provided. It's a great place for a business meeting, to relax with family or do both at the same time. We really enjoyed the indoor pool and gym and the breakfast buffet which was very diverse. We had an amazing 2 nights stay and we will come back for sure. Thank you for having us!
We stayed as a couple playing golf each day. Our first night was spent in a hotel room 133. The room was fine. Comfortable bed but nothing special. We then moved to one of the ‘villas’ - 65. These are located away from the hotel and accessed via a transfer to and from the hotel. The villas are rather odd with a ‘mud hut’ style exterior. Internally they seem to have been partly modernised but are in need of being fully restyled and modernised, especially the bathrooms. I would only rate them 2*. On the plus size the internet is good, the bed comfortable, the oven worked fine, fridge was cold. The transfer to and from the hotel was very efficient. Breakfast was fine. Nothing special. The food in the hotel was a bit limited and quite expensive. Again nothing special. The golf course was a good challenge. Buggies €45. No buggy bar. All the staff were very pleasant. Especially Hilder who was always on hand to drive us to and from our villa. Not sure I would return.…
Everything was fine in this hotel, especially the very friendly service! And the prices are very reasonable! Ik really cannot think of anything to complain about. I recommend the hotel and the golf course and I would love to come back here!
