Beautiful well kept resort. A credit to the place. Not a tree or plant unkempt. My husband and I were with our 11 year old granddaughter. We stayed in a two bedroom two bathroom with roof top terrace house, booked through Jet2. Not a thing was out of place. Beautiful kept house. Everything you wanted was there. All towels and linen were first class. Outdoor pools were cold at this time of the year but we went to the heated covered pool every day. The on-site cafe bar was very nice and the girls in there were lovely. We didn’t eat in the restaurant. Shuttle bus into town 3 times a day. We walked (45 minutes) and caught a taxi back for around €6. We can recommend the restaurant just opposite over the road and the Indian restaurant Pashmina just a little way down the road was excellent. Lots of bars and places to eat in town. We went on a boat trip which we well recommend. All in all a great week.…
Just returned after staying for a week April 22. Family of 4, kids 11 & 5, stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment ground floor apartment. Plenty of space, nice sized balcony with sun-loungers, beds comfortable, well equipped kitchen with a washing machine - very adequate for us. The staff are friendly, grounds kept well, small play park, crazy golf, tennis courts but nothing much else, particularly if not outdoor weather. The outdoor pools were cold given time of year so used indoor more, but can get busy and minimal seating area. Didn't use the main restaurant as cooked in room. On-site market was very expensive. The nearest beach can be reached by walking on cliff way but loads of step to get down to it or the road way, down hill. The beach has an area where you can get food and drinks, lovely soft sand but rough waves coming in. We got free bus into Carvoeiro but we weren't impressed so found a cafe and sat there till bus picked us up. There is a restaurant over the road from the complex where we went once but was very cramped and noisy inside. Whilst the grounds and location are beautiful, we don't think we'd return as not enough for the kids, more suited for adults…
Location is perfect, close to Carvoeiro which has great restaurants and bars. The resort has a free shuttle 3 times a day and a taxi is only €6. You can also walk via the cliff top path to several beaches and all the way to Carvoerio in around 45 minutes. Centeanes beach is only 10 minutes, with a restaurant which we ate in for lunch twice and boat trips to the caves which we would recommend. Resort itself is older and in need of modernisation - particularly the Villas. The furnishings are old which in itself isn't an issue but it feels like it could do with a really good clean! The beds are uncomfortable and bedding is really old - sheets and blankets and again felt like they needed a thorough clean. Outdoor pools are OK, very cold at this time of year. The outdoor heated pool didn't feel any warmer, the indoor heated pool is OK but quite small (with maximum occ of 8) and again dated and in need of a good clean. We didn't eat at the onsite restaurant but used the cafe/coffee shop & pool bar several times, good food & staff very friendly. Used the tennis courts twice, €20 for an hour for 3 people inc equipment. Gym is an extra cost of €7.5 per day which isn't explained when you check in. Would definitely return to the location but not sure we would return to this resort. A good clean, lick of paint and updating the bedding would massively improve the accommodation.…
The facilities are excellent, with lovely rooms, decor and extra things to do, such as pools or mini-golf. The view is very nice and it is quite close to the town centre. The staff are polite and we wholly recommended this stay.
Fabulous site. We had a one bedroom apartment which was more than adequate and fully self-contained although there could have been a few more pots and utensils. It was cleaned and all towels changed every 2 days which was great. A big site which was very quiet in April but I think could be very busy in the summer months. Transport to and from the site to Carvoeiro was a free shuttle bus but a car would be useful as there's not many places to visit on foot. Good clifftop walks not advisable for children. Would definitely visit again.
