We came here for the 2nd time June. About 40 min transfer from hotel. We arrived late at night so security let us in & showed us to our room. Checked in the morning after. Room was a good size & clean. Although no room for toiletries in bathroom. Plenty of sun beds round the pool & pool side clean. We had breakfast on our last day & that was good buffet style hot & cold. All staff were friendly & helpful. Supermarket about 10 mins walk & a great little cafe next door for snacks, although the snacks at the bar were good too. Lovely hotel if you want a quiet stay.

My friends and I stayed here as we were attending a festival and the hotel was a bit of a let down. The gentleman on reception was very impatient and rude with whatever query we had, he treated us like a burden which made us feel uncomfortable. One of my friends also ordered food which was cold and inedible and when we complained to reception because of the wait and quality of the food, the same worker basically threw a new pizza on the table. It was very rude and unprofessional. Our room had multiple problems. Our fridge didn’t close properly, the freezer section was snapped off so we couldn’t keep any frozen foods/lollies in their and it kept leaking due to the freezer having no door. One day we accidentally spilt milk in our room and did our best to tidy up. I think the maid only came to our room to do a proper clean about once so the rotten milk smell didn’t go away because the room wasn’t cleaned properly. Our aircon was outdated compared to the rest of our room and friends of hours had a much better unit. You couldn’t change the setting, the remote didn’t work properly and it often became jammed and blew warm air instead. One day it was dripping water everywhere. We told reception and they advised us someone would look at it however no one ever did. Later on in the evening the leaking stopped however it had a horrendous smell coming from it which we couldn’t understand. The guy that works on the bar/restaurant is absolutely lovely and really deserves some credit. He runs that area completely on his own and we felt bad because of how run off his feet he was. But we would like to thank him because he was very polite and friendly.

90 % of Staff top of there class very helpful nothing was a problem . They did there best to help with every thing and any thing . Very clean well maintained hotel . Nice food . The night shift reception man he is top class . We got a our taxi to town through the reception and payed for it there . As they have there set prices but one night the taxi charged a extra 15 euros as the group split and came back to the hotel different times told him and he was straight on the phone and got it back . What a top man . We also booked our private return transfer to the airport with the day shift reception man ( reason for the 90% ) every thing was ok until the transfer went to another hotel to pick other passages up !!!! When I phone the hotel to sort it out the woman that answered the phone just fobbed me off and when I said I want the difference we paid for private she said that was not possible !!! She new we couldn’t do any thing as we would have missed our flight if we went back to the hotel . Apart from that can’t fault the hotel or 90% of the staff .

Bayside Salgados was surprisingly wonderful! The guy at the reception was very informative and friendly. The cleaning staff are all good as well, amidst language barrier, they managed to express what they wanted to say, especially to my kids (who they like so much). We stayed here for 5 days, and i must say that the apartment is well equipped, always clean, and family (with small kids) friendly. Overall, we really had a pleasant stay in Albufeira, visiting beautiful beaches nearby, plus the Zoomarine Algarve (for our kids) was awesome. Would love to be back here, and if that happens, we'll definitely choose Bayside Salgados again.

Can anyone tell me roughly how much a taxi costs to the old & new town from these apartments please?
Is there a gym in the hotel or near by?
No gym in the hotel and I honestly don’t know if there is one close by.
