It's a shame they couldn't sort the heating out in our room because otherwise this is a cute little cheap hotel right in the heart of the town. But we had the air con turned up to 30C and the bed piled with blankets and we were still freezing. Other than the cold, the bathroom was a little dated and tatty but for 37 Euros a night I could cope with that. Included was a good breakfast in the cafe downstairs loved the freshly squeezed OJ and their seriously good coffee along with a freshly made ham and cheese roll and sometimes a little cake for breakfast. Location was great right in the heart of town and masses of free parking across in the square. Just sort the heating out and it would be a find.
Very friendly people, mr. Jorge Silva treated us very well. Simple, clean and cheap. Good relation price/value, old house very art “nouveau” decoration! Café/restaurant very good! Fair deal! Very well located, near the center and the castle! Recommended
It was a one night stay in this cosy old-fashioned hotel. The room was simple but clean.Lovely.You can go to the Café/Restaurant on the 1st floor and have a homemade soup and a typical Portuguese sandwich called BIFANAS for 3 euros only!!!Very friendly service.Tasty but simple breakfast included! It is located in the city centre.Walking distance from other places of interest.Possible to do it without a car.Loved it!Strongly recommend it if you´re looking for a cheap but satisfactory accommodation.
The worse Hotel I have ever been to. At our arrival staff couldn't find the keys. Rooms were big with 3 double beds but with no taste or whatsoever, incredible smelly. We left after spoken to Booking.com, they were extremely helpful cancelling our booking with no charge. Don't go to this Hotel EVER!!!!!
For 32€/2 people you get clean sheets, clean towels, toiletries, tv with English spoken subtitled channels, airco, a private vintage marble bathroom, a nice terrace with lovely vues of the market place. The restaurant on the first floor isn't noisy. Room is cleaned daily. Very basic breakfast in the ground floor café but enough to start the day. Hotel reception: address someone in the café, it's the same owner. Furniture is tipical Alentejo, if you want modern, book an Ibis. Very good connections to other cities in the region and even Spain. Fine and tipical restaurants at walking distance. The town gave me a safe feeling. No beggars, loud bars, drunks... Wifi could be better. Didn't notice and elevator.
