Superb guest house overlooking the dam.
Rooms are very spacious with all conveniences - and exceptionally clean
Breakfast is of the best eaten across multiple locations - and in multiple visits, has never failed.
View is superb and guest house provides all that is required for business travel. And no doubt, will provide a perfect retreat for 'weekenders'

We were welcomed and treated with warm hands throughout our stay. The hosts were very professional, Covid protocols were strictly observed and are a life style at El Shadai. The breakfast was always top class (5 star), thanks Peter and Susan. Guests are treated with respect, the Rooms and this entire guest house are spotless clean. The staff especially Henry were very friendly, respectful and clean too.

I highly recommend this place and I will go back again as we were truly refreshed.

Great place to stay at if you are looking for a peaceful and a well rest Holiday. The location and view is out of this world. Still need am improvement with the Wifi.
The breakfast served is nice and it makes you feel like you are at home.
The owners are friendly and helpful people and are driven to make your stay something to remember.

Very nice accommodation in terms of what they offer. Building, rooms and view very special. Things that spoil the stay is that the breakfast is served at a set time for all guests. So you sit with everyone in the dinning area and its not flexible. I missed part of the SA rugby game because I had to be at breakfast at a specific time. Suite 3 is the room I stayed in. Not near enough Hot Water for the corner bath. the bottles used for the shampoo and shower gel is not practical. You have to turn the spray cap off to use properly. It just seems they have gone a bit too far to save money. ill rather pay extra for better soaps and bottles.

Thank you for your response! We are a small owner managed establishment and do the breakfast ourselves. When guests arrive we suggest a time and we ask them if it's acceptable. If they do have an activity on we will arrange a suitable time. You also had the option to take the breakfast to your room. The room you stayed in shares a 200l geyzer with only one more room. Nothing else is supplied by it and according to standards 200L is perfectly suitable for 4 persons which is the maximum these rooms can take. Unfortunately we cannot control that if 2 rooms fill op full baths at the same time the hot water will probably be not enough. If you told me the water was cold I could have done something about it as all the geysers is on controllers and during daytime it switches over to solar. As far as the bottles is concerned its a supply issue as we struggle to get flip cap pet bottles. These bottles is a fraction of the extra electricity cost we have during winter.

Since it was our third time at El shadai, we enjoyed our stay again and Henry made sure all our requests were taken care of from our arrival to breakfast and the massage top quality. The place is so quiet you'll think you are the owner. We will see you in summer again. If 10 starts were available that's what you guys deserve 👏 thank you again.

When we arrive we were pleasantly welcomed and shown around by Pieter. We loved our family room with two bedrooms and the view takes your breath away. We thought to pay extra for the jacuzzi but that was all included. Would highly recommend and come back in a hartbeat when possible. Thank you!

Nice place with good view of Harties. I booked the suite and the Jacuzzi was my highlight. The place is good for a couple weekend away from the normal busy schedule - a good place to go unwind. The staff was very friendly.

We were 3 adults who stayed in The Penthouse Suite. The splash pool is big, easily fits 4-5 adults. The view from this property is absolutely stunning. For our last breakfast the host kindly prepared a South African breakfast with pap, mince and all the trimmings. This was a lovely gesture as we are from Europe and were due a long flight home and really appreciated the extra effort. This was our second visit to this establishment and hopefully not our last.

We had a great weekend at El Shadai Guesthouse. We stayed in the penthouse (level 4) and we had an amazing veiw from our room and balcony of the dam. The splash pool was great that we had to ourselves. The breakfast was scrumptious in the mornings. The owners were really friendly and ensured that we had all we needed. We will definitely be back again. Thank you.
