My first impressions were not very good, but after two nights there I had a very comfortable stay. Not a place to hang out, but rather use as a base to explore the area as it is very centrally located.. Units are spacious and clean. Good wifi was a bonus if you need to work.

Palm Valley Inn doesn't deliver what it shows on the box. While the accommodation is clean and well serviced and the staff super friendly, the pictures don't tell the full story. The swimming pool is located in the car park and the bar is run down. The outside patio has a few broken chairs and the kitchen units need maintenance. The location is also not great as it it surrounded by liquor stores.

We had a wonderful stay on 6 Aug at Palm Valley Inn. We are a family of 6 and sometimes difficult to find family accommodation in one Unit. The family room has three rooms, large kitchen and lounge. There is also a veranda with a braai place. The unit was very clean ans another whow was a bathroom with bath and shower. Thank you also Christelle for your friendly assistance.

The photos are very misleading. This place is in a very unsafe-feeling part of town, with "views" of the back of the corner shops. The building and rooms are in desperate need of maintenance and everything is just shabby. The pool and bar area are best described as seedy. The disgustingly stained couches had simply been covered in ugly throws.

We could possibly have put up with all that, but the deal breaker was the useless air conditioning. The rooms are simply unbearably hot.

Upon trying the Aircon in room 13 and realizing it wouldn't make a dent in the heat we reported it. A staff member came up and fiddled with the remote and claimed I had it set wrong and the room would cool soon. We left to buy groceries, leaving it on for the hour we were gone and came back to a room no cooler. We asked for a different room, and I was taken to room 8. The air conditioning was no better there. We decided to go elsewhere, and despite having barely even sat down in the room we were only refunded half of our rate. We ended up at Three Oaks. Double the price so we decided to only stay one night, but far nicer. Hartebeespoort, thanks to Palm Valley Inn we decided to get through the activities we've booked and paid for, and head home a day early.

My experience with the staff was really good. Value for money is ok. I was, however, disappointed with the barbeque facilities. There was no proper utensils and the outside chairs are uncomfortable to say the least.

The Inn is a great place to stay. We enjoyed our stay there.
The room was great and spacious. It was clean and tidy. The service was also good.
Housekeeping came by daily to clean everything out. And its locates just right. Its close to the Hartbeespoort Dam and the Cable Way.
An all round good experience.

I just wanted to compliment your establishment. We stayed there from 29 April to 2 May and our experience was phenomenal. The unit was comfortable and had all the required amenities.
We will definitely come and stay there again in the future, hopefully in an upper floor unit to see the views.

Booked a 2 bedroom self catering unit for 2 nights. When inviting 2 family members to join us on the second night, we were forced to pay an additional charge for 2 extra people.
The bookings did not mention a PPS rate. I paid for the unit, why should i have to pay any additional charge? Not happy with this experience

Being in the hotel industry myself I tend to look with a very critical eye. The apartments were good but not too clean . . . . there is a lot of wasted space. The lounge furniture in the 2 rooms we occupied were very tired and need to be replaced. They are fake leather and in the South African heat they do not offer comfortable seating. The aircon in one unit - albeit supposedly brand new - was not working and notwithstanding several requests, nothing was done about it, except that staff kept coming to check and then saying "close the windows then it will work". We kept telling them that the windows were open BECAUSE the aircon did not work. The staff are also not very helpful and almost seemed uninterested and bored . . . . the TV's also are very small for the size of the rooms.
