The apartment is quite comfortable and adequately appointed. There is a garden and off-street parking behind an electric driveway gate. If the proprietors are home, you can go through their house and out the front to walk along the very picturesque Berg River lagoon with lots of waterfowl and plenty of photo opportunities. Unfortunately our stay was soured by a lack of attention to detail by the proprietor. The breakfast served to us (we only had one) looked like it was slapped together in a hurry. All of the components were on the plate, but cooked and presented without any pride or passion. On the second day, the shower drain started to drain very slowly and I reported it. On the third day it was worse and by the fourth the water in the shower was ankle-deep and about to flood into the bedroom. When I reported it yet again, the proprietor responded with "It's probably blocked with hair" and ignored the issue altogether. I had to unblock the drain myself. Given the upper bracket rate being charged I found this to be unacceptable, even though we were treated with nothing but friendliness. I will not go back to this establishment nor recommend it for the above reasons.…
The cottage is clean and neat with all you need for a quiet stay. There is absolutely no view in a area that affords beautiful views. You might as well stay in any suburb. You have to drive everywhere, nowhere close for a stroll unless you enjoy walking along the main road.
