We enjoyed a wonderful few days at Port Owen Marine. The chalets are really well designed, and well equipped. Being on the water is a treat, and usually you can hire boats, canoes and sups. Velddrift is a delightful coastal village, nice and laid back, and quaint. Bokkomslaan is worth a visit.

Very disappointed! Showers not working properly! Beds very uncomfortable, mattresses very old, linen out dated! Lack of crockery and kitchen utensils! Property not well maintained! Owner's not interested in client service or customer care at all! Will never go back or recommend this property to anyone! At R28000 for a week we could've stayed in real luxury!

From check in to check out , what a pleasant experience. The units are well kitted out , clean and right on the waters edge.We had a 3 bedroom unit with 2 bedrooms downstairs and the main upstairs. From working in the kitchen to relaxing in the lounge or lying on your bed , all have a view over the marina. On site restaurant/ gin bar are on site. We will be back. A fantastic time was had by all.

We so enjoyed this lovely spot overlooking the marina. The place is spotless, beautiful master bedroom with crisp, clean sheets. Lovely friendly staff with a warm welcome of juice, champagne and treats ( it was Valentine's Day, so not sure if this is always offered). We enjoyed an amazing massage at the spa, fun canoe and paddle boats, watching the bird life, relaxing at the pool. Great location for day trips to surrounding towns north and south of Veldrift. Highly recommended stay.

Loved the view. Charlie’s restaurant next door was fantastic. Spa great. Hated load sharing. Bird island was fun. West coast fossil museum is a must. Helpful staff. Will come back. Loved the resort. Gin tasting also was fun.
