A stunning place for family trip!!! The hotel is really warm and bright with coloured atmosphere and shiny staff. It is unquestionably clean and comfortable. It is quite at night and you have a huge opportunity to have your rest after round trip in Brussels. In the morning yiucan have your perfect snack: always crispy bread, different types of bacon and cheese, high range of fruit, fresh squeezed juice, bottles of milk, Belgian famous chocolate variety, pleasantly smelling coffee and tea. You can enjoy your breakfast in the colourful aisle accompanying yourself with delightful music. Funkey hotel also provides a fantastic corner for every guest: new published books, mind-training games both for adults and children. The staff is hospitable and fabulous, sensible and kind. There is also good Internet connection, however, it stops working in upper rooms and the only minus is that you have to go downstairs in order to be able to make a steady calls via Internet. By the way, you are completely safe in this hotel, as every door has its special lock. I'll definitely check in this hotel for my next trip to Brussels, Belgium!!!
Thanks for my unforgettable days spent in this hotel:))

This is a great place to stay and reasonably priced for what you get. It is very modern and funky, the rooms are clean large and comfortable. It is walking distance to the centre and has lots of guides to help you navigate around the area and get the best from your trip. The staff are also really helpful and always on hand. The communal areas are great, more than we expected after reading previous reviews. There is a kitchen were you can make your own food, a continental breakfast is provided and there are teas, coffees, juices and beer provided for free whenever you wish. There are lots of games to play so great for families and also if you want to keep amused whilst having a night cap. Also a nice courtyard area to sit in the sun. The room key is a mobile phone which you can use to make local calls which is great. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Instead of a TV set we had a screen to watch anything by Apple device. Drinks for free as long as they were drunk downstairs. Breakfast was good, the beds were good and everything was clean. That’s all I want. I’ll be back.

We booked and paid for the hotel in January and halfway through our European Road trip we had some terrible news from home. This meant we had to cut short our road trip and return home immediately. We managed to cancel and receive refunds for four of the five hotels we had to cancel. The only hotel to refuse a refund was the FunKey Hotel! We would not of cancelled unless absolutely necessary and were really disappointed that under the circumstances the hotel would not even consider a partial refund. Shocking customer service and very harsh treatment in very sad circumstances.

This is clean colorful quiet and very well located hotel...i've stayed several times now and each time has been a pleasure. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and spotless and although i never really get the opportunity to enjoy - they offer complimentary drinks and a buffet breakfast with beautiful fresh offerings. The hotel is just really pleasant and in my most recent stay the staff went out of their way to faciliate my early check in as i was arriving to Bxls from a long flight from South Africa and had to go straight to a meeting - it was so thoughful and convenient that i was able to freshen up before my meeting. I highly recommend this hotel. And its child fiendly as well for those families looking for a smaller boutique hotel with a creative heart near Brussels centre.

This hotel is the most interesting hotel i ever was, i can say room was big, bathroom was almost in perfect condition, but the bathroom didn’t had a door. Breakfast was small but nice, drinks were good too. If you are bored, you can come down and take game from the shelf. We met three receptionists, they of course were frendly.

I recommend this hotel for everone

Excellent!
Very clean, fun, good location, free parking, and free snacks during the whole day.
Staff is really nice and the building is very cool.
No elevator but this is no issue if you are travelling light as you should.
The games at the lobby are so cool and they have a secret special games area which will make the kids and some adults go crazy.

My husband is a professional magician, and we typically go on a lecture tour as a family of 3 each summer. Unfortunately because COVID we weren’t able to do that this summer. Over dinner the other night, we were chatting with our 8-year-old son about his favorite place in Europe from our tour in 2018. We went to 8 countries and stayed in so many hotels. His first response was Belgium! The cool hotel we stayed in (The FunKey), the carnival down the street, and the Magritte museum. We hit all the hotspots in Europe and this is the best memory he has after 2 years. I highly recommend this hotel. I’m so grateful for the memories made. Thank you for your kitchen and extensive game selection. Y’all rock!!!

A concept of its own.
"Living rooms" never were better called.
Games, drinks, books, ... freely available.
Very welcoming staff.

It's something above a hotel, a new concept.
An experience to share with friends and/or childs.

We had a great time here. Our 3 year old loved the toys and colorful floors. Breakfast was simple but good, free parking space. Definitely worth a stay and great price-value. I would stay again if back in Brussels some day:)

The hotel has a common living room, a big spacious with seats and tables next to the receptionist area, and I believe any guests can meet friends here. I do not know and you need to talk with the hotel if you want to bring your friend into your own room. The one strict rule I know is guests are prohibited to bring any food to be consumed in their rooms because the hotel has provided a big spacious dining area, next to the shared kitchen.

The rooms themselves (that I know of) do not have kitchenettes but there are fridges etc downstairs in the public communal area (with free food and drinks) that guests can use.
