Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.

We stayed in this great boutique hotel for 5 nights in November. The moment you walk in you feel welcome. The staff is super friendly and helpful, always with a smile. The breakfast was quite good, with those killer dutch pancakes! The location was perfect, super close to the

We spend here two nights, just the weekend and it was a good choice. The location is good, walking distance to all the major attractions, plenty of restaurants near but the hotel itself is located in a calm recidential street. It is also easily reached from the airport by bus.

LOCATION - The location is perfect if you are looking to visit the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. There are tasty restaurants and cafes close by. The hotel is also positioned near a strip of high end shopping if that is of interest. STAFF - The staff was so very friendly and

We stayed here two nights. The hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly. It is a small, family run hotel with a lot going for it. It's in the museum district, literally one block from the Van Gogh Museum. There are small shops and restaurants nearby. Also a block away

Yes, the area is totally safe. You're a block away from all museums and you're on the same block as one of the major diamond stores in Amsterdam. I loved the location of the hotel. You have a tram and the bus a block away from the hotel's entrance. You have many restaurants and cafes in the area as well. Plus, you can take the Blue Boat canal tour. I recommend it in the evening. It was beautiful. My profile picture was taken on this tour.

Yes they do, a shower gel that doubles as shampoo. I think there was no toothpaste, better carry your own toiletries

I'm seeing what's called a "large twin" room on their website. It looks like two twin beds pushed side by side. If that's not acceptable, email the hotel. They are very helpful and will let you know for sure what is available. Fita is a great choice if it has the type of room you are looking for.
