Detailed Reviews
Standard hotel, rooms were OK, climate a joke - more than 19° were not possible -, water temperature also to low, no water bottle or similar in the room, service was polite. Breakfast has been good. Parking is an adventure in the surrounding, 30€ per day, 5€ per hour. But you need to find a spot. Almost 200€ per night for this comfort is too expensive.

We loved our stay at this charming hotel. We stayed for three nights with our teenagers who stayed in their own room. (Most rooms in this hotel will only fit two people). The rooms are clean and simple and straightforward. Breakfast was delicious and the lounge area was a great place to sit with a cup of coffee throughout the day. What really makes this hotel is the friendly staff. They are quick to help, problem solve, make a recommendation. This hotel is walkable from the main tourist area but not in the midst of it (about 15 minutes to the Rijksmuseum and 45 minutes to the Anne Frank House).
They were undergoing some renovations when we were there, which we were warned about, and it was not a problem because we were gone from the hotel during the work times.

Upon arriving at our room on the 4th floor we noticed a strong unpleasant odour. We left the room for a couple of hours with the windows open but came back to find the odour still there. After advising reception they promptly relocated us to a different room. The room was small but we liked how it had a small balcony and a neighbourhood view. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is a little far from the central area on foot but it is nice and quiet and affordable. The rooms were quite clean.

My husband and I stayed at the Delphi for four nights as part of his 30th birthday trip to Amsterdam. The hotel is down a quiet street but near some cafes and a supermarket should you need one during your stay. It is also very near the tram stop to the main centre which takes about 10 ish minutes. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and smiley and made us feel welcomed. The room was lovely not huge but perfectly appropriate for the type of holiday we like where we only come back to the room for the sleep and shower. The bed was amazing we slept great every night the air conditioning was also of great use during the 31 degree day! Mattress was fab also. Bathroom perfectly equipped for two people. All in all just a lovely place. Our electric did drop out one night but this cannot be helped and the staff ensured this was sorted as soon as possible. They also let us leave the luggage on the last day so we could explore without it before our flight. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. If you like to do a city break whereby you spend time in the hustle and bustle but then retreat to peace and quiet this hotel is for you. There is barely no noise and exactly what we needed after walking miles around Amsterdam daily. It is also very close to the museums which is helpful.
Thank you for a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

My daughter and I had a wonderful three night stay here mid June. Thank you to friendly and helpful staff David, Jikka, Antonio, Paulo and Óla who made our stay special. We were delighted to help ourselves to free hot drinks, fresh water, fruit and croissants in the lovely lounge, where we also enjoyed bitter ballen and wine. Thank you also for our upgrade and for the daily cartons of water. The power washing of the hotel façade during our stay made sense to preserve this elegant building.

This place was lovely! Trendy vibes, large room, so clean & felt safe. We appreciated the lobby where we could hang out in the evening. The staff was always helpful in navigating the city and tram system. The tram was easy to use which was good since it felt like we were always heading somewhere about 15-20 min away. But we liked staying somewhere off the beaten path a bit & away from the bustle with plenty to eat & shop nearby. Would absolutely stay again!

Very friendly staff and so helpful. It was my friend’s birthday they left the room decorated which was a great touch.
Thank you David for helping us with our stay.
Rooms have what you need for a short break.
It’s a fair distance walking from the centre about 45 mins but the area has its own charm and there’s lots of coffee stops on the way to the centre.

Lovely fairly small hotel in quiet tree-lined upmarket residential area as described. Very easy to transfer from Schiphol via train to station Zuid then tram No 5 to Gerrit van der Veenstraat stop just around the corner. If you like to walk, the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum are not far at all or trams will take you cheaply to all the major attractions in 10-15 mins. You can buy tickets at reception and staff are helpful. The hotel was not too busy while we were there and very peaceful. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast good and also the free tea/coffee supply along with fruit and pastries welcome on return from a day out sightseeing. Be aware there isn't a lounge area at this hotel, just the breakfast room but that was fine. Lots of nice daytime cafes around, but not many eating options for an evening meal - it is better to travel to De Pijp or eat before returning to hotel. NB There is a very good supermarket 5 mins walk on Beethovenstraat near the tram stops. If you are going for the Amsterdam nightlife/bars etc, this hotel is not for you but it was great for us and what we wanted to do on our trip. Would highly recommend.

After quite a bit of searching, I decided to contact the hotel directly and am so pleased that I did. We got a special 'relax and recharge' rate which included a bottle of wine and breakfast. They also gave us a special price for single rooms for the children.
The hotel has a lovely lounge area (socially distanced!) where you can sit and enjoy a hot drink or eat any take out food. The rooms were furnished nicely and were a good size, we had baths in the bathrooms! All staff were very friendly and helpful.
You had to collect your breakfast from reception in the morning but it was good quality and included a delicious croissant and a sandwich (which you choose from a menu the night before) as well as a juice, fruit and yoghurt.
We had our own bikes but you can rent them from the hotel and be in the museum district in 10/15mins. In the evening it was quiet and so lovely to hear birdsong.
