The staff where lovely and really helpful upon their knowledge of Amsterdam, the rooms where just what you need , our room was small but that wasn’t seen as a con for myself and my boyfriend as the room was clean fresh and gave us an overall great base whilst we adventured out ! The tram stop is a 1 min walk and I would 100% recommend buying a ticket from the hotel we found it a great easy way to get around ! There’s a lift aswell so you won’t have to face them daunting steep stairs that are known throughout Amsterdam! Would stay here again even as a solo traveler as it was in a very safe part of Amsterdam!…
The hotel is a little ways out of the main tourist location but is in a very nice upscale neighborhood. The hotel is nice and modern and very clean. There is no A/C in the room but there is a fan. We woke up sweating in the middle of the night and had to put the fan in the window to cool the room off. I’d definitely made a huge difference having both windows open with the fan blowing but it also meant the window shades had to be open with a giant spotlight outside our window. I need very dark at night and had a hard time with all the light. The breakfast is great, lots of good high quality food. It is in the basement with no elevator if you have a hard time with stairs. Just a short walk from the hotel is a great shopping and food area. It’s definitely full of locals at night and tons going on. We really enjoyed being somewhere where we felt like there were less tourists. And, there is a food hall a short Uber ride away called Foodhallen. They have a craft beer bar and most every type of food you can think of. It was a lot of fun. …
We booked this hotel online because of the great location and good reviews. It IS within walking distance of the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. However, I would recommend NOT staying here during summer months. The hotel has NO air conditioning. They had one table top fan in each room, aimed toward the bed. We tried having the window open for some cooler evening air, but the noise from outside traffic and the restaurant across the street kept us awake, as well as the heat. Also, the closet is the size of a broom closet --- big enough for an ironing board and that is about it. Although we had prepaid online for our room, upon check in they charged us additional fees (can't remember what for). This hotel might be okay for a one night stay, but I would not recommend it for any longer stays.…
I stayed in this hotel at the end of August 2019 when there was real heat in Amsterdam. The hotel itself is nice: good location( close to bus stop to/ from the airport, close to the famous museums, and you can reach all the main touristic objects by foot), friendly staff, good breakfast...But there is no air conditioners in the rooms and it was so hard to sleep when its hot outside. The ventilator which was in the room is useless. So I cannot say that i spent good nights over there. Besides i had ants in my room near the window and in inbuilt wardrobe... Summing it up i will not stay over there again...maybe its better in colder time, but not during hot summer days and nights:(( …
When we arrived the hotel appeared to be nice and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there. The hotel rooms were very small. Beds shoved up against the wall. No air conditioning at all and we arrived in 110 degrees Fahrenheit. They provided an 8 inch fan to help cool their guests. We could not stay due to the stifling rooms and the amenities provided to cool the room. We checked out and have now been trying to get our prepaid 4 night hotel stay refunded. I don’t expect the 1st night refunded but the other 3 should be. DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL.…
