We were to go to Maastricht to attend a concert of André Rieux. We decided to fly to Eindhoven airport and drive to Maastricht with a rental car. As the flight was going to arrive in Eindhoven very late, we thought it was better to stay 1 night in an hotel close to the airport. As TULIP INN hotel was at the airport, this seemed to be a nice option. The flight was delayed, and we arrived at the hotel around 23:45 hrs. Although the bar was going to close, we managed to get a drink. We got the key from the night guard. Everything else was closed and no room service. The room was extremely small and so was the bathroom. No separate toilet and a very small lavabo in our room.-The temperature in the room was very cold and we tried to increase the temperature a bit. There was no way you could modify any of the functions. The night guard said that the only way to stop the air conditioning was to take out the electricity by removing the keycard of the room that was in the special holder. Taking tours in the bathroom we found out that there was only one set of towels. We had to go and pick up the towels ourselves. The breakfast was a laugh. We were shown the drinks. There was only one can left with almost no juice. As they were about to close (half an hour to go) they said that it was not possible to get anymore. The scrambled eggs had been cooking for some time and were not consumable. We left and went to have breakfast in the airport hall. Avoid the hotel if you can

Good day, Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to read about your experience in our hotel. The hotel bar closes at midnight, this is a standard procedure. We have an extra set of towels in the cubbord as mentioned on the wall. This is because our hotel accommodates a lot of individual travellers. We noticed that a lot of towels go to the laundry unused. As we are Green Key certified and care for the environment we decided on putting only one set of towels in the bathroom. Breakfast is served as a continental breakfast in a buffet setting. We offer a choice of different sorts of meat and cheese, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, pancakes and scrambled eggs. Furthermore there are 3 sorts of fruit juices presented in a dispenser. The room temperature is climate controlled and adjustable by 2 degrees celcius. Temperature is a very individual sensation and it is almost impossible to find the right temperature that suits all our guests. Once again, we are sorry to hear that your stay was not what you expected it to be. Best regards, Tulip Inn Eindhoven Airport

One of the worst hotels ever, overcharged at check in and disappointed, doesn’t serve breakfast either - took weeks to resolve the overpayment and air con was not working correctly - a hotel chain to skip

Good day, Thank you for your review. The hotel rates are based on demand. IN a season of high demand, rates raise. We serve breakfast in the hotel between 05.30 - 10.00. If you should leave earlier, there is an option to order a breakfast to go. You rated the location with 1 dot, but seen the fact that we are practically in the airport that does not seem correct. Best regards, Tulip Inn Eindhoven Airport

Id like to thank the male member of staff working in the reception desk on the evening of 21st may early hours of 22nd may . I turned up back at the hotel where I proceded to get into the lift when a bloke that had just cheked in around 1230 am decided he was with me. And I had no idea who he was. The young man on Reception had to intervene, the police were called as this fella was very insistant that he was staying with me at all cost, and was chasing me in and out of lifts and the stairs, whilst i tried to get to the safety of my room! the receptionist ended up without hesitation having to grapple this man whilst i got away. Im quite sure this isnt something that had ever happened before at this hotel, was certainly a first for me, and i travel a lot !! But i really want to commend this young man, and his efforts to keep the hotel clients safe!! The Hotel itself was lovely, beds comfortable , gym and can't beat the location for the airport as its in the airport 👌 please pass on my thanx and appreciation to this young man!

This is the first time I have had such a bad experience in a hotel. We froze in the room we paid 90 euro per night. the room was very cold. They said that the hotel's heating system was broken and they did nothing. We sat in the room with our coats on. and we will probably get sick. We want a solution for this big problem we are having. I want a refund. because if I slept outside for free, I would feel less cold.

Good day, thank you for your review. The hotel has a climate control system that reacts on outside temperatures. The temperature in the room can be adjusted with 2 degrees. Temperature is a very individual sensation and it is impossible to make it right for all of our guests. We are sorry that the room was too cold for you.

Book this hotel only under an emergency, or you have a really early flight in Eindhoven airport 🇳🇱 . Considering the below, it makes sense to book only due to location. I feel that the owners are aware of this and do not put any other effort in a good stay, any amenities, services or any other improvements that would make this hotel a 3 stars hotel. The air conditioning cannot be stopped in the room, windows cannot be open, reception said that it is actually controlled by the airport facilities, so you will not be able to adjust temperature, most probably your room will be cold and also noisy like mine. The washing basin is in the middle of the room, only one small soap provided. The phone in the room does not work, so prepare to go downstairs if you want to discuss anything with the reception. I guess this is what happens when you have a monopoly on the location next to the airport. Next time will book something in the center and get way better value for a 90EUR room, and take the bus for 30-min ride in the morning.

Room was ok, basic and worked for what our needs were, which was a place to stay before our departure. Problems we had were with the parking, ease of entering, and customer service. We had a rental car and the directions to try and get to the hotel were the worst. We could see the hotel and were able to get to it, however the hotel has no parking and the signage and directions for returning a rental car or finding a spot to park was horrible. We drove around this hotel at least 5 times, and we were not the only car doing this as we followed and saw many others with the same confusion. When we called the hotel to find out how to access the entry the customer service was not nice. The lady was rude and basically said we should be able to see the hotel and what was our problem. After finally getting an answer that the hotel has no parking we were able to find a rental car return spot. Also the rental car shops close so no one is there to help and while this is not really the hotels fault, it was very difficult to find and navigate to the car rental return, and the walk was not lighted or easy to find. The hotel bar closes early, the rooms are not very soundproof as any conversation in the hallway can be heard in the room. I would say if you are flying into this airport this hotel is probably good, just not great for flying out.

So pre-payed but was charged €300+ on arrival, they eventually admitted their error but took nearly three weeks to get most of the money back - they were insistent that I pay a city tax on the overcharged amount even though I had paid. Worst experience in all my years of travelling. Also the aircon was linked to the airport and was so cold. Stay away

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The room and the bed sheets were smelling like a mix of cigars, mold, and sweat. The walls were filthy. I asked the manager at the time if we could at least change the sheets, he led me to a room with "fresh" sheets, were the first one he gave me had a huge stain on it and the second one had some smaller ones while also having the same smell as the room. He then offered to give me another room, which I accepted given that it was late at night and I had a flight the other day. The new room had the same distinct smell but at least it was somewhat cleaner. If for any reason (I can't think of any, to be honest) you want to go there don't pay upfront before seeing the room they are going to give you.

They will kick you out of the airport at midnight and keep it closed until 4:30. Horrible greedy people. Lately they have also moved flights super early almost as if to ensure that people can't get over here by train or car in the morning if they are coming from other cities. Disgusting.

Let’s start with the positive: great location with immediate access to the airport’s terminal . Room itself was worn down. A lot of dirty stains on the walls and carpet. I have a lot of allergies, for dust etc. A soar throat and sneezing that disappears after leaving a room is always the best indicator for me for cleanliness. As you might guess, I had a soar throat and had to sneeze a lot. (Which disappeared really soon after leaving). Duvets and sheets were of low polyester quality, that together with an air-condition that didn’t work properly made it a very uncomfortable night. Reception staff was friendly and cheerful though. The only reason for staying at this hotel is the location, which in a certain way is worth the uncomfortable night.
