Beautiful rooms, great location and great people. Rooms are very nicely furnished and all the little details are taken care of. Comfortable beds to sleep on, clean rooms, clean linen, flat screen tvs with dstv. Little bottles of sherry in every room. Breakfast is made as per request.

Great accommodation for business travelers to Newcastle, or a stopover to a final destination. The host, Colin, was extremely accommodating as we arrived quite late. The king size bed was very comfortable, and parking was secure. I would definitely recommend Aberdeen guesthouse!

The location was terrific for us on our way from Blyde River Canyon to Drakensberg, close to Ladysmith. Our host, Colin, was most welcoming, and made our stay as comfortable as possible. The room size was excellent, with everything you could require, and the home-made biscuits really topped it all off. There is an excellent restaurant within a hotel within an easy walk, which serves great food at reasonable prices. All in all. the stay was very comfortable and enjoyable.

We needed to go to Newcastle to pick up a horse and had booked at an alternative place. At the last minute we were informed of a wedding at the venue with a live band that might be noisy. We chose to cancel this booking and eventually ended up booking here. Well, all i can say is thank goodness. Apart from being cheaper, the cottage with 2 bedrooms was superb! Clean, well decorated, and if you were planning a longer stay, a fully fitted kitchen. Great location, safe parking and spacious rooms. Colin and Lynne even accommodated our horse box(without the horse yet!). Breakfast was great and served early for us. Will definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to spend a few days in the area. Such gracious hosts and an awesome place!
