Moorfield has recently been included as part of the Greater Ncandu Forest and Grassland Reserve, in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. Moorfield is perched in the mountains above the town of Newcastle, and offers great opportunities to get into nature. The hikes are varying length and difficulties, but great views and river swimming are very accessible. There are numerous pools, waterfalls and swimming places, as well as a dramatic gorge, forest pockets, cliffs and overhangs to explore. The accommodation is cozy and rustic, but comfortable. We are able to host groups and functions by arrangement. We cater for day visitors, campers, and overnight accommodation (23 beds).
