We stayed 4 nights over Easter. We had a great stay. The access to the ski area is very easy with the hotel funicular. On the way back, you can ski all the way back to the hotel by taking the sledging path (the maps have an official piste but it's not separate and there were no signs for it), or come down with the same funicular. We had taken half board and the food was very nice, though not always "fine-dining" quality, but still a good deal for the 60CHF/person/meal. Beware that the fine dining restaurant closes around March 21st as the team moves to their other property in Ascona so there is no true fine-dining option in the hotel after that date.

Amazing Hotel, Amazing views, Amazing food, Amazing time ... Loved It All 5*! We ate at the Grand Restaurant where the food was incredible and very classy but understandable for everyone and every taste. The room had the most beautiful view to the mountains covered in snow and was big and super confortable. The bathroom was big with tub and shower separatly and it had as huge mirror full body. the space outside the hotel and this city is great for skying , hiking or any snow or mountain activity even for begginers. The hotel staff was the best i ever encontered, super helpful, nice, interested in our wellbeing and just great. Everything was extra clean and even in Covid Times i felt safe there, everything and every safety rule was being followed. Overall was amazing ! Congratulations for the amazing work ! Highly recomend!

Dear dmurtal1994, Thank you kindly for having taken the time to write us, it is truly rewarding to read your words which I have gladly passed on to our team. In our Grand Restaurant we serve a daily changing 5 course menu which allows you in addition to have a daily changing Vegetarian option. Further it is the Restaurant where we serve our breakfast of which a part is in form of a served buffet. All of course in form of the safety and security concept of Covid19 regulations. Our Rooms and Suites are mostly south facing which gives you a beautiful view as you indicate to the mountains. From the spacious terrace you can enjoy the sunny afternoons in Arosa be it is winter or summer. Above all I am very pleased to read your compliment to our staff, all highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work. They do their utmost to create beautiful and unforgettable Moments for you to take home with as a memory. This is felt throughout the hotel and allows for a warm and heartfelt ambiance. Thank you again for your comments and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in the near future. Kind regards, Your Tschuggen Grand Hotel Team

While we had a great stay , there is room for improvement. The main reason we come to this hotel was the huge spa and that did not disappoint, the different pools are beautiful and were never crowded. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a few minutes from Arosa center but they have a " house car" service and they drop you off were you need to go. The room was quite big, relatively new and very clean, the style was not really to my liking but that is simply a matter of preferences. Where I was not so convinced was in the restaurant, as the hotel is a little removed we booked a half board rate. There is a fixed menu and there is only one restaurant open in the whole hotel in the evening ( even if you don't book half board there is no other dinning option in the evening). The food was correct but nothing special. the main room was very full and our table was cramped between the entrance and the service area. All in all not a very pleasant experience. I prefer the half board concept some other hotel have in place where you get a daily credit that can be used in any of the restaurant/ bar of the hotel ( but then again they have only one restaurant open in the evening ...). Breakfast was good even if with the covid measure they still have the buffet but you have to stand behind a line and tell the staff what you like and they pick it. Lastly my travel companion was greeted in Japanese by the waiter ( he is not Japanese and we spoke swiss german the whole time) , I am sure they tried to be nice but for a 5 star hotel you would expect them to know that not all asian looking people are Japanese... ) All in all it was a nice stay and we might return for the spa but not for the restaurant.

Dear SvenZH Thank you kindly for having taken the time to write us your very valuable feedback. Allow me to apologize for the greeting in Japanese from our employee, as you indicate- I am certain the employee wanted to be nice however did not fully understand that it might not be the right note. In regards to the dining options, we used to have the TWIST Restaurant in our sister property Valsana, the Alpenblick mountain hut as well as in winter season The Basement, La Brezza the gourmet michellin star Restaurant as well as the Grand Restaurant. In addition our guests have the options to eat in the Bergoase Lounge, the Lobby Lounge with live music as well as opt for Room Service. The option of TWIST and Alpenblick are no longer allowed due to the Corona regulations -only Restaurants within the own hotel may be visited by guests. Thus if you opt for the dine around you may choose from the other 4 Restaurants which we have in-house. I am very pleased to read that you greatly enjoyed your room as well as the Spa and compliment the friendliness of our staff. We would be delighted to have you as our guests again and are pleased to inform that our winter season is until April 5th 2021. For our summer season we open from 2nd of July until 22nd of August. Wishing you an excellent weekend we send Sunny regards from beautiful Arosa Executive Assistant Manager

We went to Tschuggen Grand Hotel, and they exceeded our expectations from check-in to check-out. From the moment we arrived, the staff when out of their way to make everything perfect! We were on our 15 year anniversary, and they made it so special. We are big mountain bikers also, and a big plus was that they showed us a trail map of many different trails, and the gondola was right up the street where we took our mountain bikes up several lifts for 2 days. It was a magical weekend.

We stayed for 2 nights in Tschuggen and we were pleasantly surprised. Parking right outside the hotel and the staff were so friendly and helpful! Our hotel room was spotless and cosy...it had a feeling of being at your grandma’s house and being looked after. Breakfast was brought to our room at the specified time and it was delicious and nutritious. Great location for accessing First and walking around Grindelwald. No hotel bar but there are plenty of bars & restaurants within a very short walk. The only downside is that we have UK adapters and therefore need converters but there was only one plug in the bedroom. There was more plugs in the room but they had weird screws in so we couldn’t fit our converter in. Overall, we would definitely stay again!
