My young daughter booked this as we were on a roadtrip. Good hotel to use as base for walk though Siena. Liked the old flavours and the chapel. Breakfast is good and parking an adventure - and it was value for money.

The setting in the old monastery is beautiful, for sure. Also the location right in the old historic center—perfect. However, we were not satisfied in several respects. The staff is friendly, but barely visible. There is no „owner“ who cares for his guests. The room was quite

Could be lovely but reception is not at all welcoming and It’s pretty disorganised. Breakfast is poor, nowhere near as good as what was provided in other 3 star places in Tuscany - San Gimignano/Colle Di Valle D‘Ellsa. Had two rooms as one night was booked with tour company

This place appears to have everything that it needs to be wonderful but just manages to miss out instead. Our room was very drab and stark and the bed was as hard as a board. The mini bar contained one small bottle of water (what's the point) and, despite attending breakfast

Siena lodging is competitive and expect to pay more than you do other places. When faced with this scenario, value becomes very important to us. Il Chiostro del Carmine is an attractive property with a hospitable staff and clean rooms. But the property lacked value. In many

We used aviator who in our case were able to offer a tour group of about 8 people. Our guide was pleasant and professional and so we enjoyed the day; there are however other operators who we did not use who may be just as good. Enjoy

Hello, The 2 rooms that we rented had wonderful bathrooms. I can't remember if one just had a shower, toilet and sink or bath tub also. Very spacious!

Please read the reviews about the severe driving restrictions inside most of the walled city. Parking is a serious problem, not for lack of hotel parking space but for access restrictions. As a non-resident you can only drive in the town once per day. If you drive in to the hotel, that's one time. If you were to drive out later that day, that's a second drive and you receive a fine. Your non-resident license plate will be detected from the police dept license plate cameras at entrances and exits to the restricted area. On check in day, and check out day you can both drive in and out only if you fill out a form at the hotel desk and have them call the police for an exemption. To stay at this hotel, and take day trips outside the town, means parking outside the restricted zone and waking in to the hotel and back out. Be aware you may have a long walk if the limited amount or close by parking is full. There is a city parking garage inside the walk but outside the restricted area but it is expensive and a 15 minute walk to to this hotel. If you only intend to walk about the town or take cabs during your stay, parking is not a problem.

"Don't worry if you are on the first floor near the breakfast room. Rooms were quiet."
"10,11 and 12 have terraces if you smoke."
"Ask before booking if there will be concerts scheduled. Friends changed rooms due to very loud concert out their window."
"They do have a few room on the ground floor. There is a stair lift but it is very slow but also safe to use."
