We spent 5 nights at The Strange Uncle. The owners were courteous, giving us a warm welcome and providing some great restaurant recommendations.

New Years in Florence and we were looking for last minute accommodation that was affordable. Very happy to have stumbled on this place and the very helpful hosts. The vibe is low key and the location is fantastic for exploring the city. Definitely recommend.
We stayed for four nights. Excellent location steps away from all the main attractions.
Hosts were very attentive and helped us with all our requests.
Felt like locals.
Room clean. Bathroom a little small, but fine for two and a short break.
Would come again.
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
