The guesthouses' owner was a lovely person. He gave us, more than once, nice suggestions and advice. He also left in our room a bottle of red wine. We definitely appriceded the gest. Moreover the location was really good.
Beautiful nice and clean room. The large and spotless shared bathroom didn't cause a problem. Greeted by host with wine and fruits. Gave us great info on what we need to see and do. The guesthouse is about 15 minutes from the city center.
Stayed here for 3 nights and it was great, about 15min walk from the train station, 20 from the centre. The owner is very nice and helpful-providing us with a city map on arrival and marking down all the useful places like where to eat...More
Nino was the best host ever!! He had little treats for the children every day. Helped us with cool local spots and even spent an evening chatting with us about his life and where he's from as if we were long lost friends. Really amazing...More

Italy > Tuscany > Province of Florence > Florence > Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
