Renaissance hotel, is located at the first floor of a historic building in the beating hearth of the historic center of Florence, between Palazzo Vecchio and the house of the great poet Dante Alighieri just 2 minutes walk from Florence Cathedral and 15 minutes from Santa Maria Novella central Station. In the Past, the building was already used to host tourists. Today, after a finely restoration and renovation, the Hotel counts nine very comfortable and unique rooms: Standard, Superior, Deluxe and Exclusive wellness. Each of them are decorated with original architectural items of the Florentine Renaissance, such as sandstone portals of access to the bedrooms and finely restored frescoes of the rooms carved from the ancient tower. A perfect union between history and modern amenities. All rooms are equipped with private wellness areas: whirlpool showers and regenerating waterfall. The "Exclusive Spa" rooms are also equipped with private turkish bath.

The location is as good as it gets. You're in the middle of old town Florence with access to everything. The staff was great and very helpful. The property has been recently refurbished and is very clean and well maintained. Our room was bigger than I expected and was very

This little boutique hotel in the middle of florence is very nice. It only has 9 rooms, but those are cozy with all the amenities. The staff is very friendly. It is a nice place to be. A few minutes from the Duomo and all main attractions.

Let me start this review with saying the hotel totally deserves 5 stars. The reception was very kind and helped us. It felt very personal. Since the hotel is right in the middle of the amazing city of Florence, you need to accept the failings. For example, the entrance is a

Dear Timothy, thank you very much for your kind review. Let us help you to find out about the price difference between a hotel and an Airbnb. 1) RECEPTION Airbnb: 30 minutes? or less? Hotel: 24 hours (wages for at least 3 persons) 2) SECURITY Airbnb: none Hotel: fire estinguishing system, 24 hours reception, controlled water, cerified electric systems etc 3) COMMISSIONS Airbnb: 5 % Hotel:Expedia, Booking.com etc at least 18%, if Genius bookers 28% 4) TAXES a recent study of the University of Siena found out that on 3 out of 4 bookings in Italy taxes are not paid. Guess where? Hotels where 95% is paid with credit cards, or apartments rented through Airbnb? Last but not least there is the problem of GENTRIFICATION it is nearly impossible for young Florentines to rent or buy an apartment in the historical center, contracts are not renewed to old people that live there since a long time, because foreigners pay more. This affects our whole society and if this development goes on next time you'll visit a kind of Disney World instead of a living town. If you add all these extra costs you might understand the difference and we would be really happy to have you as guests again.

We stayed here whilst in Florence and it is absolutely beautiful. It is spotlessly clean, the food is lovely and the staff were very helpful. The room is very luxurious, large and has great bathroom with a Turkish bathroom.

Bathroom was spacious and well equipped. We did not particularly like the shower - too fussy with various controls but once you figured out how to just have a straightforward set up it was fine.

No, there is no bar where you could hang out - hotel is too small but drinks of various kinds are available to take to your room
