This is our first time at Villa Marsili and we we are absolutely touched by the heartwarming hospitality of the staff. We were welcomed with genuine warmth and courteous behaviour. The attention to detail to add to the guests comfort is actually amazing. We are very frequent travellers and Villa Marsili is now on our list of our top favourite hotels.
The location cannot be better. It’s perched strategically to give the best views of the incredible vistas. It’s 5 minutes walk to the walled centre. The rooms are spectacularly clean with small touches (candy on the bed side table, complementary mini bar, candle next to the bath tub) to make you feel at home. Vincent and Valentina are just incredible and delightful and super helpful.
We are spending a week and I will write another review at the end of our stay but just wanted to give my first impressions of our check in and day 1 of our stay!!

Very warm welcome in this magnificent classic Tuscan villa, Marina is very kind, very attentive to the well-being of the clients. Amazing view from the room, very comfortable, and clean. The breakfast is delicious, varied, fresh products, I recommend you to taste a little of everything!

I had been watching this gem of a hotel for many years before I booked. There had been so many great reviews and the location was exactly where I was looking to stay. I can say that it did not disappoint. We were four friends travelling, and from the moment I first reached out to book our stay, the staff bent over backwards for our every need. Valentina answered so many emails for me, booking drivers for our adventures and making recommendations for restaurants and winery tours. She felt like family even before I arrived. When we walked thru the door, I felt like I was a guest in a family home. The smiles and cheery disposition of Giacomo to welcome us was incredible. We were given the best suite in the hotel, Room 30, and it did not disappoint. The view from the windows was breathtaking, and I looked forward to opening the shutters each day and evening to take it all in. The room décor was very classic and reminded me of my Nonna's home. The room itself was large and was re-organized to fit the four of us. We found it hard to keep the room cool, and the beds in the main bedroom were quite hard - but it was easily overlooked with everything else that was so wonderful. The bathroom was very large, with double sinks, a large tub and excellent shower.

Each morning we were greeted by Marina, the Manager, who could never do enough to keep you smiling at breakfast. Vincent made the most wonderful cappuccinos to start our day, and the food selection was beyond amazing, including fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade jams, and so many items to choose from it was hard to get them all in over the course of 5 days. The chef did an extremely good job catering to different tastes. Each evening, they had a happy hour in the main lobby where more treats were put out to enjoy.

None of us wanted to leave, and I think we all had tears in our eyes as we said goodbye. For my bucket list trip to Tuscany, I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. I will definitely be back in the future with my family.

This hotel is a jewel. Walking distance to everything the charming city of Cortona has to offer. The staff are so loving and helpful starting with Maria Torresi ,Valentina,Giacomo and Vincent that made the best Aperol Spritz. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. You wake up to a great breakfast then in the afternoon they have a Happy Hour with great appetizers, you finish the day with homemade cookies and Vin Santo. I recommend to reserve a parking spot because it is very limited.

Charming and elegant hotel within walking distance of Cortona. The manager Maria Torresi and the whole staff made us feel welcomed and pampered with their recommendations and restaurant reservations. The excellent, varied and plentiful breakfast buffet, evening happy hour with vino santo and biscotti and well-appointed bedroom and bathroom make this hotel a perfect choice for a Tuscan escapade.

This is a great little hotel/Bed and Breakfast. The pictures on this site depict exactly what the property and grounds look like.

Our room overlooked the valley and view is spectacular and the room was very nicely decorated and spacious.

The grounds outside were clean, the interior was clean, and the rooms were spotless. The morning breakfast was very good especially considering European breakfasts. They had plenty of selections to eat and everything was very good especially the pastries.

We dealt with Sonia from start to finish and she was awesome also. She communicates well and follows through. She set up our transports to and from the train station.

We had a minor issue after checking in as the AC in the room didn’t work. We tried swinging it with a fan but that didn’t work either so the owner, Maria, moved us to another room that had the AC working. Maria was always on the grounds and very friendly.

They also have a nice little cocktail hour with snacks and in the evening they put out some desserts. This all made for a nice treat.

I should also mention the day we were set to leave the taxi didn’t show up on time which is no fault of theirs, however, the co-owner was on the property this day and she going to have a friend drive us to the train station so we didn’t miss the train but our taxi arrived just before her friend. This was something that was very nice and they didn’t have to do but it’s obvious from the start they want you to have a nice vacation and enjoy their property.

If you are in Cortona and looking for a place to stay this property is it.

This stay was perfect for us. The staff are lovely and provided lots of little touches that made all the difference without being fussy. The room and bed were both so comfortable and we felt relaxed and happy here. Breakfast was delicious with everything you could wish for. The hotel is in a perfect location and just a short walk into the centre of Cortona. So glad we stayed. Thank you.

We spent hours and hours searching for the best hotel in Cortona to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We were thrilled with our selection of Hotel Villa Marsilli. The hotel is stunning, the staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and lovely. The breakfast was divine. We have never stayed in such a well cared for property with off the chart service by EVERYONE on the staff. We reserved a parking spot at the hotel months in advance and it was definitely worth it for us.
The views from our room were so stunning…we simply cannot say enough positive things. If you are thinking of Cortona, this is the best place to stay. We are already planning our return!

The hotel is some 2-3 kms far from the main station Camucia - Cortona train station. Cortona is situated on a hill while the station is in a valley so the way up is quite steep. We would be glad to arrange a taxi for picking you up at the station. We need only to know your train's schedule. Best Regards
