This B&B is central and perfect location. We had an apartment type room which was great. However, this hotel is on a very busy street and with all windows closed it was still very loud. Cars, screams, horns and partying noise from the street as our stay was on the weekend. If you are just a little fussy, this is not for you. The entrance to the building is rundown and cleanliness is lacking. Breakfast area is cluttered and small.

The B&B occupies the 2nd floor of an old palazzo (there is a lift) and the main reception rooms retain some original 19th century features. It is quite central, being within walking distance of the bus stops from/to the airport as well as the bus station for other destinations and 15 mins walk or a short bus ride from the train station. It is also just behind the cathedral and less than 5 minutes walk from the Piazza Duomo, the actual centre of the city. The hosts are friendly and informative on most aspects of Catania (they lent us maps and recommended a good restaurant for lunch as well as the best ice cream parlour in the city) and the breakfast was delicious, with fresh rolls, filled croissants and good coffee. All in all, difficult to fault - it is a tad more expensive than similar B&Bs nearby but you certainly get what you pay for.

We are not experts on B&B's by any stretch of the imagination … BUT, we know what we like. Actually, we know what we LOVE! This B&B was exceptional - from how clean it was, to the delicious breakfast served every morning all the way to the comfy bed - we loved our stay at Bianca B&B. All the major attractions and transportation were just steps away and we were treated like family by both Maria Christina and Francesco. We stayed for 5 days and we did not want to leave. Thank you Maria Christina and Francesco for a lovely stay. We will be back!

We spent at Bianca B&B 7 nights with my mother and it was great. The building located in the old town/ port part of the city - very lively and culturally rich during day and night. So you can find great trattorias and ambience bars not far from the place you're staying. Bus stops to the Airport and nearby towns are also only few steps away. The apartment we had was cosy, spacious, decorated with a taste and very functional. Cleaning service - top. Breakfasts every day - delicious, you feel like you're taken care of. The whole ambience of this place felt like home. Francesco and Maria Cristina are really kind, helpful and joyful people. We strongly recommend Bianca B&B ! Best for the owners, Marta & Cecylia

Stayed for one night after arriving in catania for a holiday on the coast. Francesco met us outside, which was great. He and his partner run a b&b in their home. So bare that in mind. The building is old but lovely, in a great location. The room is lovely. Breakfast was simple but the best we had in Sicily. They have a gorgeous dog which would justify an extra cost!!!! Well worth considering if you are stopping in Catania.
