The hotel is on the Giudecca Island, the largest one of the Venice lagoon with its eight islands connected by typical bridges. In this context with its backwater charm we find the Hotel Giudecca, an elegant building in a vaguely retro style far away from the tourist bustle of the historical center. In its renovation, this architectural lagoon gem has preserved the traits and the value of its incredible past. A private dock on the Palada Canal provides a water entrance. The 30 rooms have kept an ancient and sophisticated line though offering the most contemporary comforts and amenities. The hotel is the ideal starting point for those who want to live and experience the real Venice in its authentic bohemian style: the Venice which reminds the aristocratic salons, the intrigues and legends. The Venice of the fishermen, of the artisans who have chosen a long time ago to base on this island their own businesses, but also of the fugitives who fled here over the centuries. All this at a short distance from the heart of the city: San Marco Square which can be reached from the hotel by boat in a few minutes.

Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.

Quite wonderful, this quiet retreat is a joy. Always my hotel of choice, this is possibly not a hotel for first time visitors to Venice but for those who know the city a perfect place to visit friends and enjoy the wonders of this amazing place.

We stayed 4 nights in this nice little hotel at the quite Giudecca. Location is perfect - far enough away from the tourist area but only 5 minutes with the traghetti in the middle of town. In waking distance several bars, a good restaurant and even a supermarket. Our room was on

A hotel a bit difficult to find. The staff is lovely, the rooms spacious, quiet and with air conditioning. The breakfast is very good, and varied. The biggest advantage, it is far from the crowd and you can enjoy the Guidecca.

Hotel Giudecca is a small, good value and very clean hotel with very helpful staff. We have just returned after four days staying there. Escaping the chaos of the mainland was a joy at the end of each day. The island is very charming with a good selection of local restaurants

Hi, I had the same problem before coming to the Giudecca hotel; Do you know what I have done? I sent a message to the hotel - isn't it a good test to evaluate their reactivity. Their answer was clear and documented and i started a good connexion with the manager who was very happy to welcome us. Do you see what I mean ? As we say in French: adress God better than the Angels ! You made the best choice with the Giudecca Hotel

The latest I returned to the hotel was 10.30 after a performance at La Fenice, I took a No 2 vaporetto from Zaccaria to Palanca. There are all night routes but I'm not sure if they stop at Palanca, if they do you will be fine, I know the No 1 does but a quick check on the ActV website will help.
